I wanted to like this place but I don’t plan to go there again after having been there a couple times. The first time, the food was«meh.» The second time, my friend and I ordered a burger at the recommendation of someone else who said it was the best burger around. The burger actually had nice flavor but we both ordered it medium and there was quite a bit of raw/rare meat in both of them. The waitress was made aware but because we didn’t want to complain too harshly, nothing was done about it. I also ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and most of the chicken was burnt badly, like charcoal chunks. I didn’t bother to complain because at the point you put charcoaled chunks of chicken in a pita, you fully know what you’re doing. And on top of that, they won’t let you add the tip to your total when paying with a credit card. That’s virtually unheard of at restaurants. It’s not cool. I happened to have cash on me today but usually I don’t have much cash. We were there in the middle of lunch hour and there was virtually no customers coming or going the whole time.(1 hour+) It’s indicative of other people having poor experiences. I like to see little businesses thrive but I predict they won’t last, sadly.

The kabobs and shish tawook were good. Could have been much more juicy and flavorful. The fattoush salad was really good. A little bit on the pricey side but it was lots of food for 2 people. Very nice décor but which seating was more comfortable. It’s worth a try

Awesome food, been there about 3 times and every time come away very impressed. Pros: — very clean — excellent food & great value — the lady manager is very friendly and will explain what the various items are on the menu Cons: — kinda far for me since I don’t live or work near Dearborn but will drive there for lunch. 5 stars highly recommended.

I been in Michigan almost for year and half… But maybe this is 1st time everything I order was great and delicious… I order grilled Chicken, grill jumbo shrimps and lamb chops… All well done and fill with Flavor and juice … Wash it down with lemonade was good too … The place is little bit small that why I give it 4 star… But for food I give 5 star… The waitress was great and friendly… I do recommend you visit this place and enjoy your time while listening to Arabic music … Hope you enjoy the meal as much as I did… Happy New Year…

After having such a great experience the first time, I decided to bring a big group for a late snack. Not only was the service terrible, but the entire time I spent there was very awkward. I had ordered two sandwiches, one of which was wrong, ordered a vegetarian sandwich and got one filled with meat(we were the only customers in the restaurant); and a friend of mine didn’t even receive his complete order. We finished eating and sat for 10 – 15 minutes waiting on the bill till we finally got the server’s attention. Never once did he check up on the table without us calling him over. Rather upset that the quality of the service doesn’t match the food. The food we did receive was all mostly right and tasted good.

I came in here early this summer and their sandwiches were really greasy and did not taste good at all especially waiting over 40 mins. I would of gave this place another chance, but the worker threw an older lady with a young boy out of the restaurant when they were asking for money. The little boy was so embarrassed, she even crumbled the paper menu that he was holding right in front of him. Shame on you, you didn’t have to do that! If you think it’s bad for business because of them asking, you are completely wrong. You would of had me a customer for life if you were to have handled the situation better. I’m sure it wouldn’t have hurt you or the business by giving them leftovers, pocket money or tips at the end of the day. I really hope she reads this.

One of the more distinctive middle eastern restaurants. I am not Middle Eastern so do not know the regional influence of this type of food, however, it is slightly different than any other. Food quality on par with Boukie’s in Royal Oak(still my hands down favorite). At both, everything is cooked fresh to order; here it takes a few extra minutes longer, but well worth the wait. Facilities: new building, so everything is clean and fresh. Nice décor. Food: they have 3 different types of hummus, skewers galore, and one of the more unique shawarma I’ve eaten. It’s a bit saucy. I got the fattoush salad with shawarma. The large can feed 4 hungry people. Tried the haloumi cheese grilled on a skewer. Delicious. Lemon chicken soup is different too; brothy and flavorful. Not a thick goopy mess like some others. Menu well put together and has pictures so if you are unsure of what you are ordering. Back of house: seems very organized. Open kitchen, so you see cooks doing what they do best. Kitchen manager seems very professional. Front of house: hot mess. Young girl, who knows nothing about the menu items, likely never really served before, and owners daughter just sits at back table on her cell. Once she got involved, things went much smoother. No place to leave tip on credit card receipt. They need professional to implement some structure and protocol. Should take 2 stars off, but I liked them. Despite lackluster service, the food shines and I will happily go back when in the neighborhood.

Ive been here twice now and can give it high marks. The place is very clean and new from remodeling. The concept is kind of like fast food where you order and they deliver to your table when ready. So not exactly a formal sit down place and more casual. Food is always prepared just right and huge portions. We usually order one entre, salad and drink and have never finished it. The hummus selection is unique and refreshing to get something different from the run of the mill mid eastern places. I need to return and try everything else on the menu.

Just had a meal here, basically you can describe it as the best and great place to have a kabob meal. We ordered a humus that came with fresh baked breads and a plate of Arays that were tender and cooked to perfection, the kabob plate was amazing the best I had in 3 or 4 states and desert was a rice pudding that was like heaven! If your looking for an authentic Mediterranean place with the same taste then this is the place for you.

Mashawii is definitely a great place to go if you’re ever in Dearborn. The food is great and you get it at a great price too. Try the soujk burger next time you go, you won’t regret. Yalla Habibi!!!

Was at Mashawi 2 nights ago. Ordered 5 sandwiches, the employee said it would take 15 minutes(which is reasonable). However, it took 45 minutes. As I was waiting frustrated, the sight of the employee texting on his phone was not pleasant. The lack of time judgement cost me the 2nd half of the NBA Finals game which I was not happy about. I got home to realize, the fries sandwich was made completely wrong so i had to throw it away, and the shawarma sandwich was not good at all, I also had to throw it away. Not to mention, their sandwiches cost nearly $ 6 compared to the avg. $ 4 in most places. It will really take a lot of convincing for me to give them another shot.

Food is fresh and delicious and service is great! I ordered the spicy hummus and a beef shawarma and they were on point. And you have to try the passion mint smoothie when ur there!!! Smoothie is not very thick and most everything is made with fresh, raw ingredients. Hummus is very spicy(more than I expected) and the beef shawarma tasted freshly made.

I will never go here again! Worst service EVER, so rude. Me and my family went for Mother’s Day-GREAT WAYTOSPENDMOTHERSDAY-(sarcasm intended) we bought 170 $ worth of food and towards the end we realized they forgot two skewers so we ask for them politely… After a while the waitress told us they had gave us them.(WHENREALLYDIDNT) so I spoke with the manger and explained the situation and he basically told me I’m lying in the most rude way ever. «that’s impossible, that didn’t happen, that couldn’t have happened…» I seriously wanted to punch him in the face this guy has no manners or respect. What kind of manager would let customers walk away unhappy. I would not recommend anyone to go here. I don’t care if they have good food. IT’S NOTWORTHIT. I wish there was a no star option.

My visit to Mashawii in March made me an instant fan. We took some visitors from our California office and they were blown away with the flavor and quality. We started out with Hummus and Baba Gannouj, great fresh garlic and lemon flavors and even better with the warm fresh bread. For entrees we ordered up a bunch. Shish Kabob, Shish Kafta, Shish Taouk, Arayes and lamb chops. All perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was squeaky clean. I’ll be back for sure.

This place offers among the best of the Lebanese fair in Dearborn. Clean, tastefully decorated, and an open concept kitchen make makes for a casual ambiance fit for the most discerning foodies. Try the spicy hommus, fattoush, and the mixed grill plate. Meats are cooked on an open pit of glowing coals giving a nice smokey taste that is not readily available at most restaurants offering Lebanese cuisine. Worth the taste !!!

This place is sooo amazing. I honestly can’t believe I never came here before. I posted some pics of all the wonderful food we had. Including the fetta, gracia salad, maqanak. The place is so clean and tidy the décor is great. The service is absolutely wonderful. I wish they had more locations. This is a must try and not that expensive either. This place is on point and I also enjoy supporting the local shops. This is definitely a must try and will be coming back.

I think this place opened recently because I haven’t seen it before and I’m a regular visitor to Dearborn Michigan. I ordered lamb chops and a chicken shawarma sandwich. Both were very well prepared and the house salad was delicious. At $ 20, the lamb chops were pricey since you only get four of them but you also get a salad, rice and a plate of bread which I made no use of.

This place looks amazing on the inside and out. But that’s not all, their food and service is impeccable! We had the entrée of barbecued meat, chicken & gafta. So juicy and yummy. We also had a side of hummus and fattoush, everything was delicious. A bit pricy but all in all, it was great!
