Ups Store

Had to ship out something right quick to a coworker today and the fella behind the counter was nothing but friendly. I was packing up the envelope and pulled a roll of bubble wrap to wrap the item in. He caught me at the last second before I made the cut and asked, «What are you packing?» I showed him the thin metal disk I was shipping out (a piece of lighting equipment) and he said, «Oh, don’t pay for that whole roll! I can wrap that up for you, and put in some cardboard!» Huzzah! I put the 6 dollar roll of bubble wrap away and took him up on his offer.
He rang me up and chatted with me all the while, we had a nice little humorous exchange over my will power to avoid the Halloween candy they had out on the counter (spoiler alert: I totally took a Mr. Goodbar on my way out). The cost was pretty standard for ground shipping and I only paid for the envelope. Plus I was in and out in a fairly short amount of time.
Not sure about the rest of the staff but this was one friendly fella. I usually dread going to shipping places/​the post office but this place left me feeling good. And I got a fun sized candy bar to boot!
Ps– I always forget this place has a copy machine. Nothing fancy like a kinkos but if you have a few copies to make it’s easy and convenient. The next closest Fed-​Ex/​Kinkos is about a mile east so if you’re heading westwardly it’s the only option for a while.

They’ve relocated to MI and Outer Drive, in the plaza next door to Millers. Just remembered a few months ago I sent out a package, but never taped the label I made online. When I dropped it off at this location I told the woman working there (who is always on the phone) I was sorry I forgot to tape up the label and if she’d hand me some tape I’d do it real quick. She said it was ok… a week later I noticed my card was charged $ 10 for all the work she did «packing» i.e. taping the label I already printed and paid for.
My advice, skip UPS stores all together, use UPS Customer Centers instead to drop off packages.

Needed to ship my u verse equipment back and went here. Service was fast and i had no issue using u verse account number. But i swear that nothing but impersonal old men work at shipping stores.
