This was the worse experience ever!!! Please don’t waste your time coming to this location!!! They have horrible customer service. The waitress told us we could get any cocktail flavor, we ordered one they brought out a different flavor than we asked for, didn’t say ANYTHINGATALL… I asked about it the guy said oh we ran out of what yu wanted so we brought this one instead. how do yu know I would even like this kind.!? The waitress told us we get 2 tubes with the hookah we purchased… nope it’s a extra fee which wasn’t explained. We ordered 2 glass hookahs… about 20 minutes later the waitress came back out and told us they close in 10 minutes how do yu expect us to smoke all this in this short time we should’ve been notified of the closing time because all other hookahs close at 2am. They was just trying to make some quick money. So she being the bill out I pay for and she ADDEDHWROWNTIP really.!? Why should yu get a tip.!? The was my worse experience ever in life I will never go there again!

I’m from out of town and came with friends lady kicked me out because I didn’t smoke or want a drink. So be prepared if you’re a non-smoker or none thirsty… maybe she was racist because I was white.

Short and sweet: This place sucks. Awful service, awful hookah, i’m sure the food sucks, and way overpriced. It was also dirty. There are literally hundreds of other options in Dearborn, go somewhere where the power was cut off and you’ll have a better experience.

What is up with the very HIGH prices? It is just a hookah! The experience is good(nothing special about it), until you see the bill and you realize that you paid much much higher than you pay in other hookah places for no added value.

Horrible customer service. Went with my husband and when we pulled up we thought the place was closed. The hostest didn’t even speak to us when we came in the door. She grabbed some menus and put them on the table. Then she walked away and didn’t come back until we decided to leave. I can’t review the hookahs because the service was do bad I didn’t even order.

Like others said: don’t let the fancy look fool you. Expensive hookahs with the worst customer service and taste. Tried two different different flavors on the 50 $ hookah and they both tasted burnt. The people here don’t make you feel comfortable… And prices are ridiculous compared to other hookah lounges that have better hookahs. If you want to enjoy hookah go somewhere else. If you want a nice looking hookah and a modern décor and crappy customer service, come here.

an upper scale(based on prices, accouterments, and menu options) hookah lounge in the the Dearborn area. setting itself apart from the myriad other locations with a clean uncluttered execution, a few gimmicks(medusa hookahs, people buy them, whatever), and good ambiance(more on that later). it’s hamstrung by a few major flaws. hookah. if you go basic, is good. they use a vacuum device to fire up the hookahs so they are billowing as soon as they hit your table. they have lots of flavors. they charge a slight premium compared to other joints in the area but it keeps the place classy. i haven’t tried any of the gimmicks, never do, don’t know what they all are. they have lights you can put in or under the hookah, they have different stands(some are huge vases and some are metalwork). these gimmicks only bring in revenue, they don’t change the smoking experience too much. i don’t buy into them but the target audience does, so whatever. the coal people are always making their rounds, however when it gets busy you have to call them over, otherwise they are good and courteous. food. excellent xushi ko fare(halaal sushi and hibachi). i’m a fan, others are not. doesn’t take too long(not loner than it does if you’re actually over there eating). their menu frequently has items that are unavailable. they charge for water(lame). service. they maintain attractive waitresses who are courteous and professional, and also make it a personal experience frequently. the rest of the staff are similarly helpful and courteous. the owners are frequently around(they own the xushi ko around the corner). policies. major problems: cover charges, charging for water, charing for sitting in booths. i understand why they do this but their execution could be executed a bit better. ambience. really like it MOST of the time. especially when the music fits the décor. they have a pure white thing going on with sheer curtains and leather couches everywhere. very contemporary look with an exposed brick(metallic veneer) accent wall and an(unused) stage. heavy ambient lighting that cycles through colors smoothly and infrequently(so as not to give anyone a seizure). very nice. and when they play chillout loung music or trance. it’s perfect. unfortunately the place feels compelled to play thug music a lot just feels out of place. crowd. this is not counted against the establishment as its outside their control. crowd is young thugs. riced out cars out front. pretty much a fixture of ANY hookah place i’ve been to except for a select few. however they are calm and well behaved. no obnoxiousness. suggestions: they should do themed nights. promos. aggressive marketing. this place has a lot of potential and i’m afraid that their success has made them complacent. i’m a regular there and like the place and know the people. to be a five they should have less stringent options and be slightly cheaper.

I wanted to try the hookah for the first time, so since I live 2 minutes from here, off we were. We went on a Saturday night around 8:45 and it wasn’t really crowded, but it’s a small place. It’s $ 14 to sit in a booth, and not wanting to embarrass myself smoking for the first time, we got a booth. We ordered the $ 35 hookah with safari melon flavor, and it was an extra $ 9 for a second hose. I’d recommend getting at least two hoses. It was sweet and smooth, but take that with a grain of salt since it was my first time. The servers were nice, but the kitchen closed around 10, which I think is too early since they don’t close until 3am. It started getting crowded around 10 and we left around 10:30. The music was okay, it sounded like a mix of Arabic, reggaeton, and hip-hop. It wasn’t bad at all. I’d probably go back.

If your in Michigan and looking for a super cute place for a date or a place to just sit back and relax, go here! We had exceptional service from our waitress Zara! She was amazingly nice and helped us order the perfect hookah. We got the tequila sunrise w/raspberries. Ah-MAZING! Hands down one of the best hookah’s i’ve had and tasted. We sat back for a few hours and just smoked and had a great time. If I lived in Mi this would def be my go-to spot for shisha and sushi!

Service was excellent although it was WAY overpriced. I am not a cheap person. I will pay for something if it is worth the price. Their hookah does not last very long and the taste is not consistent. They do have the most unique looking hookahs, but it seems to be all for show as they do not perform as good as they look. Just simply WAYWAYWAYTOO overpriced.

Vanilla has horrible service, uncomfortable chairs, and charges you $ 50 for hookah because they throw some gummy bears in there. Only 2 people can share 1 hookah? If you don’t want to smoke then pay a $ 7 cover charge? Why not go to any other hookah place in Dearborn and smoke your own for $ 15 with the same tobacco quality. I’m sure when PETA finds out they put live goldfish in the base as an «add-on» they’ll have a field day with that. Waste of money.

This place is one of a kind. Great décor, good food and hooka, and nice owners! Creative concepts brought to life in a very swanky manner. So cool!

The place is nice, but the service is HORRIBLE. the waitress was nice, until we got our hookahs and for the price you pay for the hookah(starting at $ 28 for basic, we ordered the $ 50 ones) they should have come to change our coal multiple times, but they didn’t for an hour until somebody from our group blew into the pipe to get the ashes off from the coal, which apparently cracked the glass that holds the coal, even though it wasn’t cracked. so the waitress then comes and tells us the boss needs to «talk to us.» … then came the boss, who had the nastiest attitude, and proceeded to ask each of us who blew into the pipe SOOOOOOOoooo hard that it blew his $ 150 dollar piece of tiny glass, as though we were in 2nd grade being interrogated by the teacher. And even after that, an hour later we asked the guy to change our coal and he said he’d be right back with some more and never showed up until we got fed up and left. so yeah, our coal was changed only ONCE, and we paid $ 80 for two hookahs … so for the amount your pay for this«european» hookah, it’s not quite worth it unless you like being ridiculed or just looking cool to go to a place that changes color every half hour, and«music» that makes you wanna fall asleep.

Yay for being the first to review this place! The concept of hookah is not new… what is new is the modern twist this place puts on the past-time of smoking. Vanilla uses hookahs designed in Europe and imported to America. Not only are they visually stunning, they appear to be somewhat«safer» than the typical Hookah. Not saying smoking hookah is healthy but the hookah’s that Vanilla uses do not require the aluminum foil that traditional hookah’s do. Rather, they use screens so that the charcoal does not physically touch the tobacco! Being really into health, i found that really cool. The Good :Excellent Décor– simple, sleek, modern, clean :Very kind waitress who always checked up on us!- thanks Rachel! :My kind of music– up beat and not too loud where i can’t hear my friends talking to me The Not-So-Good : Price– Hookah ranges from $ 20-$ 50+ with all different types of add ons which cost even more : me and all 3 friends got headaches after smoking for the standard 2 hrs here. Maybe we’re just not used to this type of hookah yet… Overall, I felt like i was in the future when I went to Vanilla. I’ll definitely be going back!
