Options are limited when visiting Henry Ford Museum. Stopped here with my kids for a quick lunch. Limited choices. They were out of footlongs which I hoped my boys could split. The salads were tiny and pitiful looking. We got two mac and cheeses, and one hot dog. The dog was large, but tasted odd, no one liked it. My kid would not eat it. The Mac and cheese was heavy and filling so we shared two portions between the three of us. I got a pretzel, but was informed«we are out of salted ones.» I asked if they could add salt and the lady looked confused but said she would try. At least I could dip it I the salt. It was over cooked and bland. Prices were high, staffing was nonchalant, food was meh.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the Weinermobile Café is located in the Henry Ford Museum. The menu was very limited offering a couple varieties of hot dogs and coney dogs and some other basic foods. We got a foot long Chicago dog to split between the two of us and it was pretty good, nothing spectacular though. It was pricey, but when every your at an attraction like that the food is going to be expensive. We spent about $ 15 on a foot long hot dog, one refillable pop, and a hot pretzel. As a side note, we got the refillable cup which is supposedly refillable at all restaurant locations in the Henry Ford and it was only refillable at two locations that we could find. So I’m not sure how worth it that was…

The Weinermobile Café located in the Henry Ford Museum is a place you can stop in and get a coney for lots of money. I got a chili dog there for $ 4.95. Was is good? Eh. Warmed up dog on a not toasted bun with some mediocre chili sloshed on top. I’ve had better coneys at Rally’s for a quarter of the price. Service is so-so. The woman who waited on me was friendly enough while on the other hand the guy running the cash register really needs to find another job far, far away from the public. I’m thinking that maybe they should be contacting AARP for some people who might appreciate having a job. It’s worth one visit just to say you ate there, but not much more than that. Do check out the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile parked just outside the café. Man I’d like to take that for a drive around town.
