Debary Diner

Great family diner. Have eaten here about 5 times over the years while visiting family in DeBary. Since I recently moved here, I feel we will be eating here more often. Large portions, super friendly staff. Great tasting food. Will certainly be eating here again. Good prices too.

I come here often and usually always have okay service… I came in Sunday morning, saw it was kind of busy (nothing too crazy), and sat myself. Took someone 10 minutes to come clean the table off that I was sitting at and offer me a drink. Then another 10 minutes to take my order. Shortly after putting my order in, the server comes over and tells me to move because they want to seat a 6 top where I’m sitting… her exact words «we’re going to move you over to the breakfast bar so we can seat a party of 6 here» before I can even tell her NO I don’t want to sit over there, I don’t like breakfast bars, she’s picking up my water and moving it for me. I was dumbfounded by how rude this was. I am a server myself and I would never do that. Then offered to give me my drink for free after she saw how angry I was… I was drinking water. If I wasn’t so hungry and if my food wasn’t already being made, I would have left. I’m a paying customer and the right thing to do would have been to let me eat my food then seat the 6 top when I was done. 1 people or 10 people, it doesn’t matter. So incredibly rude what she did.

When ever I come to Florida to visit my Dad we have our breakfast’s here and some of our lunches. The waitresses are efficient and friendly and seem to address many of their customers by name. Would give it a five if it had some healthier options but the southern food they serve is really good.

So good yesterday, back for lunch today. Had an excellent chicken Caesar w chicken hot off the grill and delicious onion rings and ranch dressing. I’d recommend both. They were delicious.

Get to eat homemade country cookin’. Staff was friendly. Food came Out fast. Portions were adequate-​not gigantic and not small. Staff knew their frequent flyer customers by name. Would definitely come

Have been eating at this wonderful place for years. I have tried everything on the menu and have always had a great experience here. The staff are as perfect as the food. The owners are usually there and are always so friendly. Best pancakes on the planet and the country fried steak is just amazing. This place has the best customer service you will ever get in a restaurant. Between the food, the service, the prices, and the atmosphere it is without a doubt the best mom & pop diner around.

This Was Our First Time Eating here. We are very pleased. Service was prompt and courteous, food was plentiful and tasty.

March 26, 2015 I stopped in the diner for breakfast based on a recommendation. There were 3 waitresses working a steady crowd. They all seem to be polite and attentive. My cup of coffee never got empty. My breakfast was cooked to order. The portions were generous. Everything seemed fresh. What more can you ask for? There is obviously a regular customer base from retired folks in the area. The waitresses seem to know most of them by name and those they did not know they called sweetie or darling. Nice restaurant I will return.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am pretty easy to please. Tried to have a nice breakfast with my son. Ordered spinach feta tomato omelette. After 20 minutes they tell me they have no spinich. I agree to sub mushrooms. Omelette was horrible. Toast and pancakes burnt. Bad service bad food.

Great people, great prices. Food is fresh made and just good diner food. Staff is friendly and work well together. Try it you won’t be disappointed…

The pancakes were perfect, fluffy and just a little crispy on the edges, served piping hot!

Great impulsive decision to go just a little off the beaten track (I-​4) for lunch. Wonderful juicy sandwiches and friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Try the tater tots. No kidding! Black & blue burger special was best burger husband has had in years. Really liked my calle ocho sandwich as well.
Seemed very clean.

They serve a great classic breakfast which is why I’m usually here. I stopped by for lunch today and got an enormous chef salad. Next time I will come for dinner and try their $ 10 New york strip.

Great home cooked food and great service. Plus the good old days pricing. Definitely recommend!
