This is a LOST cemetary. right out of a Stephen King novel! My nephew and I had to fight our way through a thick copse of thorns, trees and vines to get here. We actually only had a slight idea as my nephew hadn’t been here since he was a kid. It sits back in the forest behind Roselawn Cemetary. There is a private road that will take you there but we didn’t want to tresspass. After what seemed like 20 minutes we came upon the old wrought iron gate leading into the tiny plot. I don’t think anyone has done anything to the graves since FDR from the looks of the place. The Dancy, Dandridge, Sykes and Garth’s were all landowners way back in the 1830’s. The earliest birth I saw was 1799 and the latest death was 1932. Most were from 1830’s-1880’s. I was told that Gen Jesse Winston Garth and his family had a plantation nearby but all we found of that was foundation. The Dancy-Polk Hous still stands next to the railroad tracks. I hope to do some more research when I return here. Crazy place
