I visit this Deals store on occasion — usually to look for holiday decorations, candy and household things like rubber gloves. On my first visit, I came in to buy candy and ending up browsing. And during that initial visit, I appreciated how many items this store has to offer and how well it’s laid out. The patrons and workers take care of this store. I don’t know how long it’s been open, but it doesn’t have the«tired» feel of most discount stores. And it’s neat. Things aren’t all piled up on each other in any random area; each section is separate and where you would expect to find something it’s usually there. I didn’t initially think of Deals as a «dollar store» but there are a lot of things that are $ 1. If I had kids, I come here every other month or so, give them $ 10 and let them go crazy. And if I were just starting out and not sure of what I needed, I would come here to buy dinnerware, glasses, etc. The prices are comparable to(and in some cases lower than) Wal-Mart and Target, so why deal with the parking and long check out lines of a bigger store? I don’t know if I would have ever gone into this store if I wasn’t dealing with a «candy jones» but I’m glad I did. Now if I’m in the area, I’ll go in and pick up a flyer to see what deals I can get, and I suppose that’s the point. Unilocal 100 #21
