Funland Skate Castle

Moved to Decatur in 2013 and have since attended half a dozen birthday parties at Skate Castle, we have now hosted our own birthday party at Skate castle and for the money it is a great value for a safe environment for children and families.
We normally attend on Saturdays and have been pleased with the crowd volume and cleanliness of venue! Not an easy feat catering predominantly to young people.
They do not allow loitering in the parking lot in front of the rink and the attendees seem to be there for the enjoyment of skating, not just «hanging out»! Way to go! Thanks Skate Castle,

My 2 teenager daughters went to this place on Fri night. While they were on their cell phones a employee comes up to them and takes their cell phones away. They proceed to tell my girls that due to the fact they were looking at porn they were taking their phones for the rest of the night. Now keep in mind the employee did not witness this. She was told by another teenager. My daughters denied this and told me immediately when they got home. They were upset and angry that someone would accuse them of something that sick. I called the manager the next day and he justified his employee for their actions. I got no where with him. When I told him that I would not be supporting his business anymore he just said bye and hung up the phone. If you are the owner of this place and you read this review… read this: 1) if you run a business you do not have the right to take someones cell phone. The parents paid for the cell phone not you, so guess what its not legal! I will be weighting my options to see what course of legal action I might take in the future with your business. 2) call the parents if there is a problem with any teenagers at your place of business or ask them to leave. If you are a future customer read this: avoid this place! Go to a skating ring in Huntsville unless you like someone taking the law into their own hands with your kids then by all means go. As a upset parent i will never allow my teenagers to go back again!
