Jeffrey’s Meat Market

I like the quality of Jeffrey’s Meat Market very much. I appreciate that they do a lot of their smoking in-​house, resulting in some great products (the Canadian bacon is especially good). I also think Jeffrey’s stocks the best andouille sausage in Decatur; skip the gumbo and go for the links whole!
That said, I really would wish Jeffrey’s would carry more «harder to find» cuts of beef, plate ribs for example. Also, some of the prices on the frozen product (i.e., the seafood) are quite excessive, even when markup is taken into account. Still, most of the beef prices are comparable to any big box store in Decatur; some, like the bacon, are even cheaper! This place comes highly recommended… just wish you stayed open later on weekdays and open on Sundays! :)

Again I wanted to make another home cooked meal for the family so this time I picked up a Pork Shoulder (AKA Pork Butt) along with their BBQ seasoning and a bottle of BBQ sauce.
The girl behind the counter recommended cooking it in the slow cooker. Boy was she right on! 7 hours later we had a delicious bowl of pulled pork that we assembled into Pulled Pork Tacos with coleslaw and Pickled onions!
Family said it was the best meal they ever had at home!
I couldn’t have done it without Jeffery’s delicious high quality meats!

I always come here when I am looking for quality meat may not be the cheapest it always the best quality. Hot dogs and steak are the best that I have ever had!

The meat is cheap and gross. Worst ribeyes I’ve ever had. Will not go back. It’s a shame noone has quality food anymore.

Great meat and a helpful, affable, staff of people who love the product they’re selling. Always my first stop for my beef, bacon, chicken, and sausage needs.
