I wanted to wait to write this review in hopes they would rectify the situation. However, it is has been over a month, and there has been no progress. I brought several items to be dry cleaned, and two of my off-white items(blazer and dress) came back with light brown stains all over them(previously not there). They claimed they did not come from their facility, but if the stains were not there before the cleaning, I don’t know where else they could have originated. I even have photographic evidence of me wearing the items without the stains before I had them dry cleaned. They offered to clean the items again for no cost, and the stains were not removed. They offered to clean them again, and ship them to me since I was moving out of the state at the end of May. I was told they would be shipped the following week after being cleaned. My items never arrived, and I was given Gail’s phone number to follow up. She told me that they would get shipped out the next week, and she would call to confirm. I never received a call, and my items were never shipped. I have called every week, and I was told that I would be called back once my items were shipped that week. I have NEVER received an apology. Every single time they did not follow through on their word and I had to be the person to call them. I still don’t have my clothes, and I was told the owner would call me back today. Just like before, NOCALLBACK. AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS. From the stains to extreme and inexcusable lack of customer service, I am not surprised the other reviews for this company reiterate their poor customer service.

We had an «oversight» on pricing, but they made good

It saddens me to write this. We are relatively new to the area(5 months) and this is the only dry cleaners we have used. Up until today, we have been very pleased with their service. Unfortunately I picked up some dry cleaning a couple of days ago and when I went to take the items out of the plastic and on to our own hangers I noticed a rather large hole in one of my sweaters. I always extensively check my clothing before taking it to the cleaners. #1– I want to make sure I catch any spots or stains that might need some extra attention and #2– I want to check for holes/damage, etc because why would I pay to have an item cleaned if it’s damaged? This particular time was no different. I checked my items(2 sweaters, a designer blouse and a designer scarf) to ensure there were no holes/damage or spots/stains. When I dropped them off I knew the condition of all of my items– the scarf had a few spots on it(from food splatter) and the sweaters and blouse were just in need of cleaning. When I took the sweater in today to show them the hole I was immediately told it wasn’t their fault. In fact, I was told there«was no way it could have happened at their facility». Now, I wasnt expecting them to reimburse me for the sweater. But perhaps the cleaning charge of it? Or at the very least acknowledge that it COULD have been something that happened there. Instead, I was told there was no way it could have happened there and that«I probably just missed or overlooked the hole». Unfortunately, because of this I will no longer be brining my clothing to Joe May Cleaners. Again, it’s not because they didn’t reimburse me or offer free services(I honestly wasn’t expecting that); but rather because they just refused to even acknowledge that they could have been at fault. It was my fault and my fault only. This isn’t the type of customer service that I will accept so I’ll simply take my business elsewhere. (And, in my opinion, the hole looks like it was due to a hanger being caught in it; something that very easily could have happened at anytime while the sweater was in their care)

I’ve used this location for dry cleaning and shoe repair. I was quite happy with the cleaning and associated cost — dry cleaning women’s clothes can be shockingly expensive. They really impressed me with the shoe repair. My favorite pair of western boots needed new soles, but I didn’t know how much it would cost. They called me with a quote, and it was half of what I expected. I worried the quality wouldn’t be good, but I’m thrilled with the work — no corners were cut. I needed some high heels fixed as well, and it was a similarly good job. I had walked in them after the heel cap had broken, so I was worried they wouldn’t be salvageable. Everything looks like new. They employees remember me and are friendly. I look forward to using them for many years.

I tried to drop off some men’s shirts to be washed and pressed. A woman I had never dealt with before said that she had to treat them as women’s blouses because I am female and would have to charge $ 4MORE per shirt because they would be done in-house. I told her that I always have my shirts sent out when I bring them there and I understand they aren’t treated with the same care as those done in-house. She wouldn’t budge and was willing to lose a customer over it. I was completely baffled and will clearly not be using them again.
