This hotel is ok. Our room was clean and the bed wasn’t too bad. Overall it was much better than I expected at this price point. I have paid much more for much worse. I would absolutely stay here again.

Probably the best hotel in Decatur. The interior was clean, the rooms were clean and quiet, and the staff was incredibly polite and easy-going. The price was right, too. When I visit my friends in Decatur again, I will stay here.

I searched Unilocal first to see what the true experts said about this place with no avail. On TripAdvisor’s reviews, I took a risk on this one. The location is about as good as you can get in Decatur, near all the shops, restaurants and other hotels. The exterior is exactly the style of every other Microtel in America. Upon check-in late in the evening, the assistant manager was the epitome of professionalism. The lobby made up for the ugly exterior. I was told breakfast started at 6 a.m. and local and long distance phone calls were FREE. Upon given the keys to 222, I ventured up the elevator expecting the room I had read about on TripAdvisor. Turn handle, walk in, smell of cigarette smoke(in the fully non-smoking building) smacked me so hard I couldn’t even walk in. I went back to the desk and was immediately and kindly reassigned to 228, with brand new carpet. Literally, like it was put in that day, it seemed. Once I landed in the right room, it was small for two queen beds, but I’m willing to sacrifice space for the microwave and fridge. I’m not a fan of Microtel’s mirror-extravaganza they put in every room, but the décor is what you’d expect from a budget hotel. My biggest complaint is that the rooms are not quiet. The motel structure is(I believe) stick frame built so you hear every creak, floor pop, television, conversation and step. While I was extremely pleased with my room and the service they offered, next time, I’m going to try out another spot, simply due to the noise factors.
