Have been here several times. Good every time. Ivan has been my server many times. The best. Will be back again.

Fantastic brunch. I had a build-your-own omelet while my husband had Eggs Benedict. Our waiter, Dale, provided excellent advice as well as great service. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, and no one complained that we stayed for an hour, enjoying our coffee. We’ve been here several times for dinner, but this was our first time for brunch. I definitely plan to return!

Service was good at the bar. Went at 9 on a Friday night, it was empty. They close at 10:30. Had a Caesar salad, sweet tea, and Fettucine Alfredo. Husband had the spaghetti with marinara and meatballs. The Caesar salad wasn’t good. I’ll eat pretty much anything but I had to pass it on to my husband. Something about the dressing threw me off. It was more like a paste(yes, the texture of a paste) than a typical dressing. So I’d avoid that one if I were you. The Fettucine Alfredo was sub par. I’ve had better from Figo Pasta(the fast-casual Italian place). The Alfredo seemed really runny and there was no flavor to it whatsoever. The sweet tea was good. Lol. I mention it only because I’ve had watery sweet tea, and that’s the worst. The bread was average. Just par.

Good local place. Like the Italian dishes and the service is good. Like bringing the little lady here for some good food at good price. Eat here then go to one of the local joints for a night cap. Perfect.

Saba is awesome! Its a laid back atmosphere and the food is fantastic. We live in Duluth and go as often as possible especially for the linguine with clams which my daughter loves. My husband is a chef and I am from a big Italian family in upstate NY so we know good food. Highly recommend

Everything I have eaten here has been amazing. Very flavorful and fresh. The service has been pleasant and the food is delivered in a timely manner. The prices are reasonable. The bartender makes some FANTASTIC drinks all with fresh ingredients… try the lemoncillo shot if you are celebrating :) all of their sauces are made from scratch… from the bolognese to the vegan sauce. Blue cheese chips are delish! If you want to go to dinner in Decatur without the busyness and parking hassle at the square, you should definitely check this place out in the quaint Oakhurst community

This place has a great breakfast/brunch that we frequent often. Nice selection of omelets and Italian inspired breakfast food. There is a great bloody Mary bar which is always fresh. Would certainly recommend.

Who would think that a good neighborhood restaurant like this in Atlanta would not have a wait at 8pm on a Saturday? It was a warm evening in June and I was headed here with a few friends and we also had a baby in the mix. We were seated quickly and the place was 75% full. It was a good mixed crowd of folks including friends, couples, and families. It is kid friendly as well though few were there at that time. We started with the blue cheese chips as an appetizer. They were good. Then we ordered a bottle of red wine for the table which was nice, very reasonably priced Chianti wine under $ 30. As my entrée, I ordered the lamb Ragu which was very tasty. The service was pretty good in terms of timeliness of the food but it did take awhile to get our checks. Overall it was a good experience. Would love to return and try some other pastas. Nice, casual vibe in the Oakhurst neighborhood.

Vegetarian/Vegan friendly and delicious. So glad I found this place just up the street from my house. Great drink specials and the food is delicious. Also, priced just right.

Still love this place! Lamb Ragu was still delicious. Earthy and rich. Lots of meat and the noodles were perfect. Ravioli was great as well. The meatball appetizers were also perfect. Lots of basil and garlic.

Good food for a great price. Daily drink specials. Try the Bloody Mary bar for brunch– $ 4 can’t be beat. $ 3 mojitos on Thursday are another favorite. So fresh! They also have many other good cocktails for about $ 6 – 8. Much better than the $ 10 – 11 drinks on Decatur square with obscure ingredients. No bitters, aperol, essence of bark, fleur de velvet in these drinks, just good cocktails with fresh juice and maybe some mint.

We are Decatur residents who live a short walk from Saba. I have been coming here for years with my family. I love the Pimms’ Cup, the fish in parchment, and the bouillabaisse. Normally, I would have given Saba 3 to 4 stars. However, I am very unhappy with the way we have been treated the two times we have brought our dog. Both times, a particular waiter was unwelcoming and rude. Saba has outdoor seating and inside, there are plaques with portraits of dogs on them. This would make it appear to be a fairly dog– friendly environment, as long as your dog is behaving well and is seated in the patio section. In both instances when we visited with our dog, this waiter made it very clear that he wanted us to leave. Yesterday, the restaurant was virtually empty, with only two families in the restaurant. One of the families, on the deck, said, «What a cute dog». It was obvious that they had no problem with our family sitting on the patio. The waiter proceeded to tell my husband that a lot of people don’t like dogs and relegated my family to two seating areas that were the worst seats in the establishment. His delivery was brusque and dismissive. It’s obvious he personally is afraid of dogs or doesn’t like them and wasn’t going to tolerate having them have dinner with our dog in tow. I wonder what the manager would think about this behavior. My guess is that he would be mortified by the way we were treated. We have probably patronized Saba a good 15 – 20 times over the last two years, but we will not be going again. We went across the street to Mescalito’s instead. There are two many good restaurants in Decatur with friendly waiters to have an experience like that again.

Came here with hubby and requested for some bread with olive oil/vinegar. The basket of bread was lightly toasted and warm. YUMZ. Our mains came, I ordered the Linguine Clam in white wine, garlic sauce. Good sauce. The linguine is a little broader than what I expected but it was still good. The dish came with a slice of bread but wasn’t toasted like our earlier basket. Now I wished i did not gobble down my warm bread earlier. Save the warm bread with the broth… I died and went to heaven.

I like Saba. I’ve been coming here for years. The brunch is delicious with the budget friendly items, Bloody Mary bar, and mimosas. Dinner is also great. The weekly specials are the best. Mushroom sherry soup and salmon with risotto cake are a MUST try when they are on the menu. The bleu cheese house chips are great too. I love the bar staff. They have become like a second family to me. Saba in the middle of Oakhurst is definitely a must.

I had been to Saba for drinks and apps before on a Saturday night and I walked away with a positive impression. Lively atmosphere, good parking situation, and promising menu. It’s been on my «revisit» list since. We went on a recent Friday night for date night, and neither my partner nor I were wowed. It was pretty empty, and most of the customers were at the bar. We ordered an appetizer and some pasta entrees and nothing was really impressive. I know they’re known for their pasta, but I honestly couldn’t tell if it was homemade or not. Significant Other’s clams seemed canned. It was a little bit depressing, to be honest. I kind of think Saba is a restaurant with an identity crisis. On the bar side, people were chilling out and watching a game on TV. Occasionally they’d hoot and holler a bit. On the restaurant side, the décor and ambiance is nice. I wore a dress and felt overdressed compared to my waiter who wore jeans. My recommendation is to come here for drinks and an appetizer pizza. Or, if you have kids, this place might work. But if you’re looking for good Italian fare for a date night or nice occasion, this probably isn’t the best spot.

I’ve frequent this local establishment a few times now and every time I’ve received chilled reception when seating at the bar.(This is after my family and I were introduce to the owners and staff as being new to the neighborhood) It’s as if I’ve step into their private living room and demanded a glass of malbec. Often times I find myself greeting the staff by name and chatting them up in order to «break the ice?» Shouldn’t that be the other way around? So…It’s within walking distance and at the time we were hoping for a local spot we could call our own. The food is mediocre and not worth the price for the portions. However, if you must visit, the best times are during their daily specials. Kids eat free Tuesdays, $ 3 mojito Thursday. unfortunately, those«specials» are for drinks only. All in all I’d say we really wanted to like this place. We visited more often than we should and enough times to be recognized and greeted warmly by staff. We won’t be back!

This is a quaint little spot in East Atlanta that I’ve been coming to for the past year and each time I come I enjoy myself and what I’ve eaten. This time I had the Thai Chicken Ravioli. It was delicious and plentiful. I also had the Red sangria, another good choice although I think I’m a light weight and cant handle my alcohol anymore because I didn’t finish it. But who cares. Good food, good company and good service is guaranteed each time I dine here. This will continue to be in rotation.

The grapefruit basil drink was refreshing and good. Alfredo pizza is tasty, but came out cold. Lamb ragu was good, but not great. Spaghetti and meatballs was the best. Service was alright. I’d try it again but I wasn’t impressed.

My husband and I have been looking at their brunch menu for awhile, wondering if the vegan dishes were any good. After waiting and waiting in vain for a Unilocal review we decided to just check it out ourselves. And we are glad we did!!! The vegan French toast was the item that intrigued us. I think it’s been at least 20 years since I’ve had it. They brought out a plate with three huge pieces of toast, syrup, and a side of Earth Balance Vegan butter. Score! It was fantastic, The toast was soft and just crunchy enough to be perfect. I’m not a fan of maple syrup most of the time but a light drizzle over the toast was delicious. For sides we had the soysage(excellent) and the tofu scrambler. We know someone back there knows how to deal with tofu, and giving it a light coat of nutritional yeast lent it and the vegetables a savory cheese-like flavor. I ordered a mimosa, and although I’m not a lightweight, this drink had me buzzed before I got my food. My husband wanted a Bloody Mary, so the waitress directed him to their Bloody Mary bar where you can make your own and add ingredients you want. After reading all the bottles of mixes he found that none of them were fishie-less. So we both ended up with a mimosa, which he very much enjoyed. When the check came I coughed a little at the price, but we were pretty darn satisfied with our meals. We will be back next time we have the need for French toast(which may be soon) and an extra $ 50 to spend.
