This zoo is operated by children with the common sense of a goat. On our way out, just over an hour prior to close, we went to walk into the gift shop. The door was open and the lights were on. As we stepped inside a girl outside yelled to us from across the court that the gift shop was closed, and not to go in. There was no signage stating that the gift shop closed an hour prior to the zoo closing, so I’m pretty sure she was trying to shirk her responsibilities. Whatever the case may be, she upset my son, who had his heart set on buying a souvenir. Thanks for ruining our visit.

Me and my family always find ourselves coming back to this zoo. It’s a nice little zoo that is good enough to make the kids happy and see everything within a few hours. The cashier lady who we purchased tickets from was a absolute sweet heart. Super nice and super caring. She smiled as soon as we arrived and had a great attitude. Awesome first impression welcome. The huge park outside the zoo is great for kids. I like this zoo.

The day I visited the weather wasn’t so great but it was a GREAT day for me because I didn’t have to wait for people to step out of my pictures. I enjoyed this outting. Very well kept & many cute exhibits to see here.

Sure this is a small zoo but it’s really nice and clean. We took our youth church kids here on Saturday and we had so much fun. The play area is a blast. They also had two caretakers walking around with the prettiest gray wolf I have ever seen. The kids thought that was so cool. They were told to keep their distance and they did. Everyone working here was so nice and very helpful. One of our kids lost her cell phone. I asked a couple of employees if they had seen and if they would to please keep an eye out for it. It wasn’t even two minutes when one of them found me and told me they had one at the train station. He had called all around looking for it for us. The lady in the train station came out with it in her hand and handed it to me with a big smile on her face. Needless to say I got a big hug from the cell phones owner. The kids favorite was the red panda. He was really cute. They watched him for a very long time. This place was very nice and I am sure we will take the group again sometime.
