5 hours for a wash and set on a Wednesday afternoon? Yes its cheap but I’d rather spend more money somewhere else and keep the rest of my day. Plus the roller set wasn’t great. I had to go home and work on it myself.

The stylists are good but the manager and receptionist are rude. They askfor payment while you are getting a relaxer. I asked to pay at the end and they said pay now or don’t come back. I won’t be back.

I’ve been getting my hair done here on and off for several years now. My review is a bit delayed. I’ve been going natural for about a year, so it’s been a while since my last visit. Went in today in despair… birds nest on my head — Fredrick Douglass afro desperate. I must say that for $ 10-$ 45 you can get any basic service you want. My expectation are realistic and I don’t expect to get a $ 100 worth of services for my ten bucks, apparently some do. However, I have always felt like i’ve gotten more than my money’s worth… a bargain. And if you are lucky to get one of the really good stylist you might even feel like you got over. Long story short I’m a satisfied customer.

Saturday was my second time there. I guess I liked it because I had just been there the previous Sunday! Finally, a place where I can get my natural hair done weekly at a reasonable price. My first stylist Angela gave me an awesome deep conditioner, trim, blowout and flat iron($ 50) The girls at work thought I’d gotten a relaxer. It looked that good! Sunday, I didn’t even bother to learn the stylist’s name, NO personality. When she shampooed my hair and saw I was natural, she didn’t seem like she wanted to do it. She flatly told me natural hair roller sets are $ 20. This time, I got a steam treatment and a roller set($ 40). It was supposed to cost($ 42) but the stylist didn’t use a leave in conditioner which would have helped her none too gentle combing/detangling. She won’t touch my hair again. When my hair was dry, I was kind of surprised that she just took the rollers out, sprayed oil sheen and said«thank you, have a good day.» I guess the $ 20 roller set doesn’t include styling(?) BTW, their website states $ 10 for a roller set, but when you get there a sign at the desk says for natural hair it’s $ 20 effective Oct 1st. No biggie. It’s still a good deal, but they need to update the website. All in all, it’s a good deal, no frills, and I’d go again.

I really like this salon because it’s a first come first serve system. You sign in when you walk in the door and that assigns you a number for service. You can choose to wait for a particular stylist but I prefer to get in and out as quickly as possible. They are open on Sunday, I don’t know of another salon open on Sunday. The prices are great, there’s free wi-fi and everyone there has always been really nice to me. Today, I got a relaxer, a cut and a roller set and my bill was $ 50.00. I have paid more than that just for the relaxer in the past. Be sure to check their website as they have specials on certain days and coupons. I drive out of my way to go to this salon because the prices fit my budget. Now if you guys can open a location a little closer to me, I’ll be in Heaven.

Disappointed! My stylist asked me repeatedly what I wanted as if she had no clue how to simply flat iron my hair. I informed the front desk that I would not be back and they called to reconcile the situation. I was contacted by the owner of the salon and was told that I could come back and be shown«how my hair should really look». I appreciate the phone call. I’m new to the area and it is so difficult to find an affordable hair stylist! I will give Suite 20 one more chance in two weeks…

I’ve been going to this place a few months now. The other reviews are right, and I did like this place. The one time normal stylist is out I decide to let another stylist do my hair. BIGMISTAKE!!! At least I know hair will grow back… The girl chopped my hair and all I wanted was a trim. Then the chop was uneven. My heart dropped! The manager was kind enough to have someone else fix it, but NEVERAGAIN!!!

I’ve been here twice. When I fly into Atlanta I usually stop here after getting my rental car, then my Arden’s Garden juice. They have a $ 10 roller set which I haven’t tried but everyone looks great. I had a wash, condition, dry, flat iron and I received so many unsolicited compliments from strangers, I know it must have looked really nice. You can sit with anyone, walk-ins are welcomed and the process was pretty quick. I was in and out in 40mins on a Thursday then maybe an hour on a Friday. I sat with Nikki both times, she does great work. Not too much chit chat, there is gospel music(low) in the background. The set up is nice and they have COUPONS online and daily specials. I added on extras to my service, but you could literally walk out of here looking real fly for under $ 25.

I wasn’t happy my hair was very dry and brittle, I guess I should have bought my own products, but then that wouldn’t be a savings. I still feel that you get what you pay for, so I shouldn’t complain for 10 dollars, go figure.

Most women know how difficult it is to have speedy, healthy hair service as beauty salons. Suite 20 delivers healthy hair care in a friendly, professional environment at a super discounted rate. The beauticians are hit & miss here. I have my select few who I prefer to care for my mane. Shampoo products are generic so I suggest bringing your own shampoo & deep conditioner. This salon features a number system to ensure that you are serviced in order of your arrival. Arrive early on Sundays! Gospel music plays in the background. Beauticians do not participate in boisterous gossip conversations. Wash & Set $ 10, add a deep conditioner for an additional $ 5, relaxers $ 25. Although I haven’t used any other services, they offer manicures, pedicures, massages & facials. What a wonderful treat to maintain your mane.

Suite 20, I am really impress! My hair looks like I left out of my regular hair stylist and THEYARECHEAPER. Suite 20 is near my house and they are clean. I got to Suite 20 at 11:50am and left at 1:30pm. I did not have to wait long at all. Suite 20 gets a thumbs up!!!

I went here after a stylist at Nachi’s ruined my hair and essentially stole $ 100 of my money for a janky weave that she told me she’d «fix» on Monday(I got it on Friday) and she never did. Sooo I wasted money in that ghetto mess of a place and came here for salvation. Classy, clean and so nice. I saw some people leaving looking nice, but nothing that I’d say made me feel like I had to be back right away. I don’t have a relaxer, nor do I have the need for a press so I dunno. I took my little cuz who has permed hair for a wash and blow/flat iron and the lady didn’t even bump her hair well. I don’t know what was on her mind. The girl that fixed the clumps of glue in my hair(WHEN I GOT A SEWIN!) and saved my edges that the idiot glued down was an angel and God sent. They were all really sweet and I had a great experience. although I’ll update when I get styled there.

I mean, REALLY, for real!?! $ 10 for a wash and set or roller set??? Any African American woman who regularly maintains her hair knows that this is an EXTREMEBARGAIN!!! I“m a sucker for a deal so quite naturally I had to try Suite 20, I mean for $ 10 what did I have to lose? Oh, did I mention, relaxers are only $ 25!?! Prior to finding Suite 20, I was a faithful client of a local stylist who charged $ 65 for a relaxer and $ 35 for a wash/roller set. I’m sure her prices were par for the course as compared to other reputable stylist (read– licensed) in Atlanta. Suite 20 is located in a new building on Flat Shoals Pkwy in Decatur, Ga. I was quite apprehensive initually, but my apprehension was quickly soothed when I walked in and noticed the professionalism, neatness, and efficiency of the salon(read– no gossiping, loudness, cursing, drama). They operate a bit differently from most AA hair salons, unless you have a preference for a particular stylist, the first available stylist will provide your services. Keep in mind, one person may set your hair and another may style your hair. From what I can see, all of the 10 or more stylist are licensed, and can provide a decent do for the low. I have seen other stylist do weaves, spiral sets, up-do’s, short do’s, etc. They use professional products– I got a Nairobi relaxer on my first visit, and from what I see, they use Nairobi, Straight Request, and some other products. My only gripe is their shampoo and conditioners are generic. Simple solution– I bring my own conditioner. Also, worth mentioning, $ 10 covers literally a wash, condition, roller/wrap set, and roller removal and wrapping. If you want your hair feathered, or styled, they charge an additional $ 5. Even so, I still haven’t broken the bank! I still have $$ left over for a mani! Since my initial visit, I have been back 4 times for roller sets. As a matter of fact, I am under the dryer right now at Suite 20! The sign on the wall says they are a spa also, I think that part is upstairs. They offer basic manicures and pedicures, facials, and massages also. Since it looks like they have a $ 39 special for a 1 hour massage, I may have to update my review once I try it! I know this review is super long, but I felt it needed the long explanation for all of the other skeptics out there!
