Summit’s Best Tree Stand the 180 Max SD is a climbing tree stand and what makes it so great is that the seat mounts forward or facing the tree. When facing the tree the tree stand is much easier and much faster to climb up and back down. It is well padded and after sitting all day 15 to 20 feet above the ground there is no soreness in the legs or back. It is so easy that if you don’t like the tree you chose simply climb down within seconds, find another tree and climb up in minutes. The cable locks assure you won’t disengage from the tree and break your neck and there are plenty of storage pockets for rope, ammo, or your sandwich and water bottle. The wider than standard size still weighs in at only 23 pounds and the straps make it easy to carry in and out with little effort. Summit’s rugged stands are portable, easy-to-use and allow greater flexibility than other types of tree stands. All of Summits climbing tree stands come with a cable attachment system, RapidClimb stirrups, SummiLokt construction, QuickDraw cable mechanism and — because they have your safety in mind — all of Summits climbing tree stands include a free four-point fall arrest system. If you’re looking for stands that are comfortable to use and pack compactly, Summits Blade and Dagger tree stands might be right for you. Summit’s OpenShot stand is their lightest and features a seat that folds up into the frame for plenty of room. Summits largest stand, the Summit Titan SD, offers a larger size and a healthy 350-pound weight limit, while the Ultimate Viper SD is easily adjustable and loaded with features such as a gun rest, thick padded mat and comfortable surround seat. The Goliath SD and Summit 180 Max SD climbing tree stands also feature generous weight limits and adjustable seating with 5– and 6– channel platform construction. While the individual characteristics of Summit’s climbing tree stands may vary from model to model, the essential benefits don’t. Every stand features Realtree AP Camouflage fabric. All Summits stands are designed to meet or exceed Treestand Manufacturers Association standards and all carry a five-year limited warranty. Above all, the stands are manufactured and assembled in the USA. Everything adds up to climbing tree stands that are comfortable, durable, safe and designed by Summit with you in mind. When I originally ordered the Summit Climbing Tree Stand there were only buckles that hold the seat to the bar on the stand on one side. I contacted Summit’s Customer support and immediately received a replacement and returned the defective seat. Summit stands behind it’s products 100%. It holds tight to the tree and has a 350 pound load capacity. It is also whisper quiet so that the deer will never hear you getting into or out of your stand. I highly recommend this product. It may cost more than your standard climbing tree stands but product quality and my safety are more important than saving a few bucks.
