I was blessed by this delicious food at an event they catered so as far as printing, speed of service, and ambiance, I have no input. However, I am crying of joy. I hope it is not too long that I get to find myself in front of their teekha murg.

Really excellent food, excellent proportions, everything was delicious, but, the waitress couldn’t really understand what I was asking of her, so, they wound up just giving us four dishes of something. The food was excellent, but, it was not what we had ordered. They also sell snacks, which are terrific!

1 star because — Food wasn’t tasty, hot or real Gujarati. When we visited this place yesterday there were about 20 – 30 total people so it was busy comparing to other restaurants on weekday. So there was just one Nepali server, greeter and everything else(he was amazing tho) his speed and politeness was the plus point and the only reason we didn’t walk out, anyways back to the review about food. The food was not good at all, it was over priced for the quality they offered. And the management was not great because only one guy can’t handle that many people they need more people in front to take care. I understand that it was slow week and wanted to save on payroll but u never know when it will get busy so u have to be prepared The reason I gave one star is their khichdi was good and they do some terrific catering

Best Indian Gujarati food in the country, closest to my moms food. Staff was great, manager came out to check if everything was okay with our meals, very courteous. Recommended his favorites dishes, and even recommended dishes that were not on the menu and my family was very pleased with the choices. Thank you Thali Restaurant for the wonderful experience.

I really was hoping to love my food, but the actual taste of my meal left a lot to be desired. I got the mini thali, which the portion was very generous, but I just didn’t enjoy the taste of the 2 vegetables and the kadhi — which is most of the meal. Mini thali breakdown Mango pickle — standard Dahi vada — really good, just the right amount of sweet 4 rotli — generous compared to most thalis Potato shaak — overly spiced(not the good kind of spicy) and watery Malai kofta — again overly spiced and the kofta itself was boring and dry Kichri Kadhi — the kichri was so bland kichri, too much ginger in the kadhi Gulab Jambu — nothing special I also got a Papri Chaat — that was great, again portion was huge, easy to share with 2 – 3 people. I wanted to love my meal, but in terms of taste it just didn’t deliver. 3 stars for portion, price, service and ambiance.

I only had the Pani Puri in the hallway from a food cart. Such a fun experience to be fed very yummy Pani Puri. You just stand there as the chef hands you pani puri. 8 for $ 4.

I had their special Thali twice, a week ago. It was absolutely amazing! The food was great and service very courteous and fast. The appetizers, fresh rotis and sides were great! I liked their décor too. If there is one thing I think they could make better it would have to be the Khicdi-Kadi.

Came here with my family. Ordered food with everyone else at the table. Their food came out in 10 – 20 minutes. I was sitting around waiting for my food… 30 minutes go by… 40 minutes go by… They forgot about my food. I guess the girl forgot to write my order down or something. They had to be reminded to bring out my dish. When my dish(pav bhaji) finally came out, it was mediocre at best. It was very salty. I can find better quality food for cheaper at Global Mall, or anywhere really.

Our traveling caravan decided to meet up with some friends in Atlanta. Went there with a group of 50+ people in August and the team at Thali accommodated with very short notice. The food was good, and though there were delays, its to be expected with a large party. The ambiance is very eclectic and they were able to create one large table to accommodate a significant portion of the party with the rest of folks strewn around, so it still felt like a party. They also go us some tea for the road which helped since we were on a long multi-day road trip.

Normally, I only write a review for a restaurant when I have abad experience, but this place is an exception. I think it deserves 5 stars in every category. Food was delicious, place is very clean and interior feels like you are in Gujarat. Service was also second to none, I have experienced with any Indian restaurants. In my opinion, Thali Special is a good value for your money.

It was a delicious food. We ordered for Mysoor masala dhosa, indo chinese rice and mini thali. We liked the dhosa most. Mini thali was having two curry with low spice level they could have done better but overall with service, environment i would rate 3.5 star.

We were on a short trip to Atlanta, and were craving Indian food. Walked into Thali by chance. This is authentic Gujarati food– the kind that you would get in India. Very friendly wait staff and nice ambience. One note of caution — special thali has a lot of food, not necessarily a bad thing if you are super hungry. We will definitely go back when we are in Atlanta next.

I have come to this place for uncountable times only to eat their Special thali. In fact I have never tried any other thing in this place. I have always found the special thali very satisfying; It consists of 5 snacks as starters, and both dhoklas are my favorite. Choice of Indian bread(either chapathi poori or maze bread) are something that you won’t get in every indian restaurant. All the curries are gujrati and slighty sweet in taste, and again you will not find it in every indian restaurant. I will keep coming to this place.

Liked ambience of the place, it’s different from your regular restaurants. It has this«dhaba» look with good and tasty food. The only complaint we had was its little oily food.

Consistently great service and food. This is a staple for our household every two weeks! My favorite is the khichdi(lentil rice mixture) and paneer on the thali special. And of course, all the fried appetizers in the beginning lol.

We ate there over eight hours ago and I am still full! You have to know I that I can do some serious damage at an Indian buffet, so I had no big expectation coming for a thali lunch here. Thali is an authentic Gujerati restaurant in the Patel Brothers shopping center. The interior includes a decorative thatched roof and comfy booths complete with pillows. Menus were brought out and taken away quickly, as they bring you whatever they have anyway. Thalis are traditionally served on metal trays and bowls, definitely adding to the experience. We started with the indian drinks, buttermilk and a spicy water. Both were authentic, and in this case authentic meaning not so good. I eat and drink a lot of weird things, but really couldn’t find a reason to finish either of these drinks. Water was served in a metal pitcher with matching cups. Puffed snacks were brought out first with three chutneys, a nice start to the meal. The second course was a great selection of pakoras, two types of dhoklas(gram flour cubes), and some other unidentified appetizers. We were asked if we wanted more of anything, and it was at this point i realized that it was basically all you can eat. I loosened my belt. The main course included a soup, a potato dish, black eyed pea dish, a paneer dish, and a vegetable dish. Three types of bread were included. Rice was brought out when we asked. Our waiter also brought out Khichdi, a rice porridge mixed with lentils and ghee. Everything was good, but not excellent. Surprisingly mild compared to everything else that we had already had. With that being said, I had seconds of the paneer and potato dishes. A dessert was included as well. We finished up with a hot chai tea. The food is a solid three star, but the overall experience is what takes it up to four. The quantity, the quality and the variety makes the $ 15 thali a deal! I won’t eat again until tomorrow!
