Met a friend for a dinner last night. Service was attentive but somewhat slow, the wine was excellent and we split the Margherita pizza. It was good but somewhat average. The décor is nice and it’s a small and cozy setting. If the table would have stopped wiggling, would have been much better.

As I am growing to expect from the wonderful places here in Decatur, the food was top notch and made to order, the staff was not only friendly but welcoming and friendly which means allot to a stranger traveling through and the atmosphere was charming and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in town or passing through, this is a place for a great meal!

NOTRECOMMENDED!!! Been here a few times. Food was never good & took forever but, it was close & at the time, only place on 2nd ave. to have a drink. Last time was a take out order, when picked up order, cheese sticks were left out. I informed server of this. She got mad at me about it & said I gave her«bad vibes.» I asked to speak to the owner thinking he would address the whole thing & make it right! I informed him of the comment made by server & that I didn’t get my full order. Owner said he would take care of it himself but, appeared confused. He himself brought me the cheese sticks. It took forever! When I finally got them, they were cold, greasy, & honestly looked as if they had been dropped on the floor. The owner said the server told him I «threatened» her??? Without even asking me any further questions or hearing my side, he «banned me!» All I wanted was to be treated with respect & get the food I ordered on time & in decent shape. I was told the server was later fired for doing the same thing to others & I could«come back» but, the damage here was done. There are to many good restaurants in the area with good food, a professional staff & caring owners to waste time & money here. Moe’s is excellent! I love the outside bar! I have read all reviews & replies on this thread so, I know this business owner will more than likely rebut this review with some form of character assassination. I know a good attorney! I am a good person. I respect others & treat them how I want to be treated. I have a right to share my experience! I’ll say this, Don’t just go on my review, look at star rating, read all reviews & rebuttals! You decide where to go for fun! I’m sharing this because we all work hard for money. We should enjoy a night out & not be disappointed! Happy Outings! 0;)

I can honestly say this is one the worst restaurants I ever visited. The staff was friendly but after and hour and a half of waiting for some pastas and pizzas, realized how inept they really were. Bottom line, the pizza and a Spinach salad never arrived. Excuse was that order was entered incorrectly. Really??? How can you possibly mess up with a cheese pizza? Just horrible.

I had rather go to the dentist as apposed to going to this dump to have dinner. As paying customers, we were treated very bad by the wait staff and by the management of this place. The service was truly bad. The pizzas were probably the worst tasting and greasy that I have had the non pleasure of ever trying to digest. And on top of it all, it was VERY over priced. You could get A frozen pizza at A third of the price and came out with a better dining experience than what you would have there.

I’ve been here every time I’m in town. I’ve had something different every time I’ve gone and I’m never disappointed. I’ve had pizza — delicious, cheesy and hot; Pasta perfectly cooked and Calzone, also cheesy and delicious with desired filling. They also have a full bar and multiple dessert selections. All servers were friendly and attentive. The attire is casual and the location is great. Will probably return again when I go back to Decatur.

Such a quaint little place. Has the feel of a small family owned restaurant. Sad bad experience. Had pizza. The worst in a long while. Gave it 2 stars because the waite staff was so pleasant but not very good, unfortunately. Pizza comes out of a 600 degree oven. No possible way for it to arrive cold, but it was — luke warm. AND soggy. I also ordered a side of pasta. A full serving was delivered. And the cold pizza may have been because our nice waitress let it sit. But that’s all about running a restaurant. When you send a plate back to the kitchen and the manager doesn’t show up shortly after it is brought back to ask if it is to your satisfaction, don’t go back. They didn’t bother to find out. If this restaurant has been around awhile, I wager it is now in the Son’s hands.

Best pizza in town. If it wasn’t for Sam and Greg’s in Madison and Huntsville, I’d say its the best in North Alabama. Ordered a 16 inch«Benzina» which is their version of a meat lovers, and also a 12 inch Buffalo chicken pizza. Both were cooked perfectly with generous toppings. Thin, crispy pizza. Nice downtown atmosphere. I prefer this place much more than the faux local place across the road that acts like it isn’t a chain. Great service. Great food. Great prices.

I came here for lunch on a Wednesday after finding out that their Wed lunch special is a 3 topping calzone and drink for $ 6.99. they have a great selection of toppings for the Pizzas, calzones, and strombolis. Somehow I was lucky enough to get a spot right in front of the door. I don’t know where people are going to park once Moe’s BBQ and Jefferson’s open. That’s rather disappointing for a local business. I was the only one in here for the full 30 minutes it took for me to order and eat. I was beginning to wonder how bad it was and if people knew something I didn’t. But my waitress was so friendly and my food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I thought the calzone was delicious. I ordered it with Italian sausage, spinach, and red onion. The ingredients tasted so fresh and were plentiful inside the crusty pocket. The mozzarella was perfectly gooey, like the kind you dreamed of as a kid after watching the Ninja Turtles. My favorite part was the crust. It’s the calzone crust I’ve been searching for, a little crunchy and thin in the center but thick and chewy around the folded edges. I loved the fresh, chewy edges. The calzones also come with a «Bianca sauce» which is a mixture of ricotta, garlic, and basil. They topped it with a garlic and herb seasoning so it had plenty of flavor. The only thing I could have passed on was the marinara sauce because it was a little acidic. My personal preference would have been a little more sweetness to accentuate the tomato flavor. I have every intention of coming back! Lunch specials: Monday– 8″ 2-topping pizza and drink $ 6.99 Tuesday– Any pasta except lasagna or trio and drink, $ 6.99 Wednesday– 3 topping Calzone and drink, $ 6.99 Thursday– Stromboli and drink $ 6.99 Friday-Large slice of pizza and drink $ 5 The BEST calzone I’ve ever had. The reason it’s on my Top 100 Dishes to Try list Calzone

Vittone’s opened here a few months ago. They have a nice clean place with a good health score rating. The staff are friendly and the owner seems nice, as well. My family ate there for lunch last week. They have inexpensive italian food. We had cheese calzones, for about 4.95 each, and a fire roasted veggie pizza for a little over $ 5.00. The appetizers are all under $ 3.00. We didn’t try one though. We were one of the first in for lunch. We sat at the front, so we could look out the window, instead of the tv. I hate tvs in restaurants. It’s so tacky! I don’t want my company zoned out on garbage. You want to have good conversations. The only way to not see the tv is to sit in one of the 5 stools up front. Bummer, really. My 7″ pizza wasn’t bad. The taste was ok. But not spectacular. They do offer more toppings than anyone else in town. I like that about them. But the cook didn’t soak up the moisture properly from the toppings and my pizza had a puddle. So, not only was it soggy in the middle, it was cold. My family’s calzones were piping hot. Funny, how the pregnant woman gets the cold arse food here. The calzones were good but very bland, like the pizza. They had no spice at all in them. The marinara sauce was better than delivery joints. It wasn’t saturated with sugar. That was nice. But when you have to throw anything you can on it to spice it up, that’s not so good. I have a keen sense of taste and smell, being pregnant, and so there really weren’t any spices in the calzones. Sad really. Some fresh garlic, basil, oregano, etc. would have done wonders to the calzones. You shouldn’t have to rely on the sauce in a cup to give you flavor. You shouldn’t need the sauce. The owner came by and asked how it was. I told them my pizza was cold and it wasn’t timed properly. He didn’t offer to fix the situation in any way. He just apologized and said it was because he wasn’t there in the kitchen when it was made, we was on delivery. Well, that’s once again sad. If you have to oversee your staff that intently, you need better staff. It’s not hard to time food properly for it to all come out at once. I do it every night at home when I cook. I gave them two stars because they are trying. They offer more toppings than anyone else. The staff is nice. They need to offer broccoli for the pizza and sliced meatballs, as well. Those are things I can’t get here that I miss.
