I come to this Wendy’s every so often when I’m in the area… I haven’t had any problem with the quality of food — it’s what you’d expect from Wendy’s… But this place is slow. It’s 10 pm; they are not busy. I ordered my food, pulled up to the second window, paid, emptied an old drink outside my car, made room for my drinks, threw some stuff on my floorboard, sent a text, shuffled through my purse, stared out my window, checked-in on Unilocal, and wrote the majority of this review before I received my food. Now I don’t generally have a problem with waiting on my fast food, as long as the reason they are being slow is because they are cooking it fresh… but I don’t think it takes 20 minutes to put 2 chicken patties in the deep fryer. Seeing as how I only ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 chili’s(this stuff is already cooked), 2 fries, 2 half size salads(aren’t these pre-made?), 2 frostys, and 2 teas, I think their problem is their order of operations. Maybe we should start with putting the frozen items in the fryer first? Not to mention the fact that I do not need my drinks and frostys 15 minutes before I get my food. Come on people… why would I want my frosty to be completely melted before I get my food? Now you could say that maybe they were understaffed because it is Sunday and we are in Decatur, but some random worker(not the cashier) had enough time to go walk to the drive thru window and stare at… what looked to be a wall… before disappearing into the back. I get the order back to the house, find out one of my drinks was wrong, I have no straws, and they gave me bbq ranch salad dressing for their Strawberry Fields salad — bbq ranch with strawberries? No thank you. I’ll take the vinegarette that comes with that salad.
