Music In Motion Disc Jockeys

We got married in Decorah even though we live on the east coast. We found Music in Motion (M.I.M.) online and chatted with Terry and he seemed to be professional and well-​qualified. We did have quite a few requests in our music needs and had hoped that Terry would be able to fulfill the most important requests. However, a week and a half before our wedding we were informed that M.I.M. was unable to «find» a few songs, which included the Mother/​Son dance and my parents’ first dance, which was very popular. We were appalled that they were unable to find important songs, but sucked it up and bought the songs and provided them to our dj. The dj, however, was terrible. She failed to keep things moving throughout the night so we had to keep sending people to her to announce the next important dance, (Dad/​Daughter, etc.) which made our reception less than relaxing. She also played no variety, played a lot of country, which we requested «very little country» and then only played upbeat music the remainder of the evening, which made our friends get out and dance but made it impossible to dance together as newlyweds. I was very disappointed with M.I.M., as it made our reception very nerve-​wracking and we’ll never get that night back.
