Hands down one of my favorite stores ever. If you’ve ever been to a dollar store, you’d know it’s full to the brim with items of dubious quality, and toys probably containing traces of lead. Five Below is not the case. They carry such a wide variety of awesome things, that it’s next to impossible for me to leave without buying at least something. My favorite is their incredible selection of cheap candy and snacks. Necco products? They have them all. Japanese candy? That too. Their toys section is also great. I recall when they were selling deluxe class Transformers, sold over at the Toys R Us on the other side of the mall for about $ 10 – 15, for $ 5 each. There are some genuine stuff sold here. This place makes the Dedham mall worth tripping to, honestly.

Holy crap! How did I not know there was a store like this with so much cheap great crap? LOVEIT. Went for the first time the other day when I had to do a return at Old Navy. Figured I’d finally see what the fuss is all about. It’s a stocking stuffer heaven! There is so much great stuff — tshirts, shot glasses, ornaments(Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots), to coloring books, to socks, to PJs, to puzzles, cookbooks, and lots and lots of games! Seriously for $ 5 or less you can load up on your kid’s stocking or your kid’s friends birthday party.

I had a Five Below back home and I was so thrilled to see that one had been built so close to where I live. This store is great for college students, in all honesty. You can get lots of candy and snacks and drinks here for a cheap price. Snapple, sodas, chips, etc. They have a small selection of clothes around holidays, mostly shirts, hoodies, and flip flops. In winter, they have gloves and average winter gear minus coats. It’s really ideal for someone living on a budget or in a dorm. They have bathroom products and beauty products in normal and travel sizes. Hairbrushes, make up, shampoo, headbands, iPod and phone cases, room décor and storage, books, and lots of cute novelty items like tin lunchboxes with characters on them. They even have school supplies like folders, notebooks, pencils, and pens. The holidays such as Halloween, Valentine’s, and Christmas are seriously the best. Oh, and Easter. This place carries amazingly themed and appropriate items. As the name of the store goes, everything really is $ 5 and under. Happy shopping.
