I wrote earlier about how bad the Christmas tree was that we got there. To follow up. Our grandchildren could not help take the tree down because the needles were like needles and stabbed them, some drawing blood. It stopped taking in water 5 days before Christmas and lost so many needles that the lower third was close to bare on Christmas day. I took pictures but have no way to show them. This was the worse tree we have ever had, even against the store bought ones. We would have returned it for our money back but driving back to the mountains would be silly. Gina T.

Great experience. My husband and I decided to try a choose and cut tree farm this year for the first time. We drove in from Raleigh and we were quite pleased with the setup. The process to select, cut, pay and load up the tree was super easy. We got our tree loaded up, hopped in the truck to leave and we were STUCK. Kicked in the 4 wheel drive to discover that it wasn’t working. What a nightmare. Several guys who were working that day took the time to come over and help us. Took up quite a bit of time but they ended up towing us out and we went on our way. Was not something they needed to do, but they did it anyway. We appreciate them taking the time to help out! Would recommend them to anyone. :)

Was looking for a choose and cut Christmas Tree Farm near Boone, NC to take the family and we found it in this farm. This farm is run by a kind and generous family who gave us the experience we were looking for. The trees and wreaths are beautiful and reasonably priced. Additionally there was free cocoa, chai tea and apple cider, blue grass music, a warm fire and several interesting vendors as well as a beautiful horse drawn hayride that was hands down the best we had ever been on. The only downside was the parking which was a bit tight, so arriving earlier in the day is recommended.
