Place At Cayou Cove

My fiancé and I stayed here for a weekend getaway together. The cottages are absolutely amazing in every way. It’s hard to say what I liked best about our stay at Cayou Cove, so I will list them out :)
First of all, we stayed in the Gardner’s Cottage, which is the smallest of the three cottages, but it was amazingly quaint and charming with all the luxuries of home. We brought along our German Shepherd, Zoe, and the owners went out of their way to prepare for her arrival as well. There was a water bowl, dog blanket, dog towel, doggies bags, and a baggie or treats for our pup! This is wonderful place to travel to with your dog!
2. I LOVED the wood burning fireplace. The crackling of the fire, the warmth… it was amazing. We had the fire burning all day. The owners re-​supplied us with wood/​paper when needed.
3. The hot tub for two out back is amazingly romantic and private. The cottage is tucked away from all the others, so there is plenty of privacy. Because it was rainy the weekend we were there, we used the hot tub quite a bit, and the view was unbelievable. Additionally, there are two chairs and an outdoor fire pit for enjoyment when the weather allows.
4. The cottage is completely stocked with all the amenities of home. For example, the little kitchen has every utensil and supply you could need. Our next trip there I will bring more groceries so we can take advantage of the amazing kitchen more! Also, the bathroom feels straight out of spa. The cottage comes equipped with robes and slippers for two as well!
5. The location!!! My fiancé, my dog, and I were out exploring most of the day! We loved walking along the beach, eating dinner in town, and relaxing together all day long! The cottage is located right on the water with beach access from each cottage.
I highly recommend the cottage for a romantic getaway with a loved one. It was the perfect escape from how busy life can get back in the city! Thank you for your hospitality!

These cottages provide a truly special get-​away. My husband and I stayed in the carriage house which has a nice view of the Deer Harbor marina but still provides privacy since it is set back in a lush garden behind a charming wooden gate. We would go there again in a heartbeat. The setting was perfect, service was outstanding and the overall accommodations were five-​star. I smile just thinking about our time there. It truly is a great place to stay and worth every penny.
Our cottage was cozy with upscale sofas and chairs that you can cuddle up in, a fireplace, a good bed and a small but workable kitchen that had top quality kitchen tools and matching dishware. The bathroom included a double shower as well as an extra deep tub with a fabulous but private garden view through an atrium-​style window. The cottage front porch had comfortable seating, a small table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a hot tub in the corner – plus the great view. The cottage had wonderful linens, nice thick bathrobes, and superior bathroom amenities. We enjoyed the little extras such as fresh flowers, a personalized printed list of island activities for the days we were there, and whole coffee beans and a grinder in the kitchen so you could make really good fresh coffee when you wanted. Most importantly, we had the services of Valerie and Charles who manage these special cottages and live in the big house on the property. Valerie made sure we had everything we needed and Charles made the most wonderful breakfasts and tended an extensive vegetable garden that was available for use by the guests.
We chose the Bed and Breakfast package and are so glad we did. The breakfasts always started with fresh fruit, homemade muffins, fresh orange juice and coffee. The entrees varied from a perfectly-​cooked eggs benedict to a delicious orange French toast with bacon. Valerie would bring the meal at the time you selected and even set it up on the porch when we chose to eat outside and enjoy the view.
Part of the reason we chose the Place at Cayou Cove is that we did not know Orcas Island and thought that, if the weather was bad, we would have a nice place to just read, relax, and enjoy a fire in the fireplace. The weather ended up being nice but the Place at Cayou Cove would be a great spot to stay anytime. We loved it.

Charming cottages in beautiful Deer Harbor. Stayed in the Gardeners Cottage which is small, but perfect for 2 with a comfy king size bed, sitting area, kitchenette, 2 person shower with rain shower, and a nice porch with a 2 person hot tub just for your use! It is private and set in wooded setting, has WiFi and Satellite TV if you need them. Steps down a low bank to the beach, very private, quiet. Can access their beautiful garden to use fresh herbs or veggies for your use. Good place for couples looking for a private get away.
