Can I leave half a star? This place is ridiculous! Man handling the meat w/o gloves. Won’t make burgers to ordered standards. Plus they aren’t trained properly. When you don’t know how to use the computer you shouldn’t be on it. When you don’t know how to make a customer happy you shouldn’t be a manager. You people suck!

I’ve been to Mooyah a few times and have always had a pleasurable experience. I’m sad that after I discovered Mooyah they closed the one that was nearest to my house. I have tried several of the burgers but ultimately choose to eat the turkey ice burger. I love burgers but find that the bread just gets in the way and usually pick it off anyway so having the option of just eating it wrapped in lettuce is a plus. Today I went with two other co workers. One ordered the double and another ordered the black bean burger on wheat. Everything was fresh and delicious. I love the sweet potato fries I could eat them all day. But I pretend to be calorie conscious and opt for the small serving. The employees are fast, courteous and very patient with me because I always change up my toppings. Love the fried onions they add that extra special SHAZAM to the burger. And the mooyah sauce is pretty good. I have gone on days the place is packed and you have to wait a pretty long time for your order but today they moved along pretty quickly. Everyone enjoyed their lunches and for sure will be back again.

Great burger place! I love coming here with my boyfriend. Their turkey burgers are fantastic. I love that you are able to customize your burger: crunchy fried onions, grilled onions, they have several kinds of sauces. They also have a veggie burger option! Their fries are great and always fresh! And their sweet potato fries are just amazing! This place is definitely worth the trip!

Place is ridiculous. Went there starving for a burger & had never tried them. Conveniently the computer was«down» yet before I left the parking lot an employee came out & got into a waiting car. Accidental coincidence that it’s Fathers Day & they all had some celebrating to do? I’m sure you don’t care, but you just lost a customer.

I was impressed away by my lunch here, and probably not just because I was pretty hungry. I arrived just after the lunch rush, so they seemed to make everything from stratch for me. The fries was radioactively hot, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, they were super fresh. The flavors were surprisingly unique and appealing, especially whatever addictive blend of cinnamony spices they season the sweet potato fries with. The burger itself had a rich, thick and kinda sweet bun, the meat was cooked to order and everything tasted fresh. Maybe everything was a little too sweet, I wish I experienced more savory in the burger. My only other«beef»(get it?) is that Mooyah demands you tell them everything you want on a burger, instead of giving you the basics(veggies, mustard, etc) as the foundation. It takes more time and thought to think about all the stuff I want, what I don’t, etc. when you have no foundation to build on. But, no biggie, I will come here again.

Ok if you’re in a hurry. It’s on Center street so can be a bit of trouble during rush hour. Felt the service was slow and the prices too high, but still better than a fast food drive through. A better choice is Burger Tex on Spenser, or if in the mood for Mexican food then Lone Star Taco a few doors down.

We’ve never been to Mooyah so thought we’d give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find that that they bake their own buns, cut their own fries and the burger is fresh! My burger was delicious. My husbands strawberry shake was made with real ice cream! It was so think you needed a spoon. Will definitely be back!

I had a turkey burger and the food was alright, but the price and the service were not so good. My group was the only people in there when we ordered.

The first few times I dined here, I loved it. However the last few times have been dismal. The place is always dirty. The service always slow. Tonight I saw animosity between coworkers and there was smoke in the air from the grill. My order was all wrong and took 20 minutes. I’ll give it one more shot as I love the taste is the burgers but the service and atmosphere may turn me away for good.

Me and co worker came here for lunch after reading all the great reviews and i just wanted to put my input in because we both were disapointed! The frys were really huge and good. I enjoyed them more then the burger. I got the single patty buger looked huge co worker got double. when we got our plate the meat pattys were thinner then mcdonalds mcdoubles! So to me it felt like i was eatting bread and vegtables no meat! Not only that but first bite the meat patty was so thin it started falling apart ended up eating it with fork. Horrible right? The double meat was the same story. Not worth $ 13. Save money go to burger tex.

This was my first time in a Mooyah’s, and I loved it! This location is very clean. At first I flinched at paying over $ 10 for just a burger and a small shake, but realized it was WELL worth it a few minutes later. My Turkey Burger was fresh(like I had to be careful not to burn my mouth), hearty, and delicious. Walking in less than an hour before closing didn’t effect the quality and freshness of the ingredients or friendliness of the service one bit. The lettuce and pickles were actually green AND crisp. Their seasonal Pumpkin Spice shake is delightful-I couldn’t suck it through the straw fast enough! I thoroughly enjoyed this meal!

I want to start by saying I really really enjoy Mooyah’s food. The burgers are DELICIOUS and I’ve never had a problem with the way the food tastes. Always fresha and just the way a burger and fries should be. Also, AMAZING milkshakes! So so so so good. We had only ONE bad experience(out of around 10 visits to this location) with an employee. We emailed the company about our issue with the rude employee and within 10MINUTES our phones were ringing with the owner of the store calling to apologize. They refunded our meal completely, and the general manager(Heather I believe her name is…) was VERY accommodating and sweet. The owner sent us some vouchers in the mail, and we ended up going back recently. It was a great experience and I give this place 2 thumbs up!

I’ve lived very close to Mooyah for quite some time, but never ventured inside. Well today my aunt said that you could get lettuce instead of a bun. My mom and I decided to try it out. We came in and immediately got excited to try a burger. The place is colorful and inviting with a fast food meets restaurant atmosphere. The bathroom was clean and had a pleasant smell. The employees were helpful when it came to picking what to get and the fact that we were sharing a meal and wanted different sauces wasn’t a problem. We split a regular mooyah burger on an iceburger(lettuce) bun. It had bleu cheese, tomato, fried onion strings, avocado, and honey mustard(my mom had the mooyah sauce which is similar to 1000 island dressing). We opted for sweet potato fries which were yummy! Overall, it was a great choice for lunch and I will definitely be back! Next time I’ll bring my husband. :-)

When a coworker suggested this for lunch, I looked at their website and thought«OK, it’s just like 5 Guys»… but I feel that it is better than 5 Guys. First, the atmosphere is better. I appreciate that 5 Guys was one of the first or one of the best-known build-a-burger type restaurants, but the standard décor in their restaurants is just a nonstop pat on their own back. I also appreciate that the red and white is supposed to be old time burger nostalgic, but it can look institutional. Mooyah has personality and color on the walls and is just outwardly a more inviting place to sit down and eat a meal. Personality is a good thing. Second, I felt less food guilt than I typically do after my meal. I’m not sure why, both restaurants serve hearty portions, but it is a real thing. The past three times I’ve been to a 5 Guys I had post-consumption regrets; not the case at Mooyah. The meat and toppings also tasted fresher. Third, there are more food options. I didn’t have one, but Mooyah has milkshakes. Mooyah has sweet potato fries, which were nice. Mooyah has turkey burger and veggie burger options in addition to the beef; 5 Guys only has veggie sandwich options which are essentially toppings, not a veggie patty. And finally, you could have your burger on a giant lettuce leaf(wrap-style), or with avocado, or with blue cheese at Mooyah. Many more options! And finally, Mooyah does better as a dine-in restaurant. In addition to the improved atmosphere and eating environment, Mooyah has nice metal individual trays for your meal(instead of a brown bag) and has salt /pepper /napkins /ketchup already on the tables instead of at a central location. The convenience was a nice touch. In summary, I was pleased with both my food and my experience at Mooyah. I will be a return customer when looking for a burger in the Deer Park area. What I had: cheeseburger w/blue cheese, bbq sauce, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, sauteed mushrooms on a wheat bun + sweet potato fries. One recommendation: I’d like to see a chicken option, specifically a spicy chicken. One comment: although I largely think Mooyah is better than 5 Guys, their Cajun fries are awesome.

Burgers are awesome, fries are really good but not perfect. The workers are nice but not extraordinary. Best burger place in pasadena deer park area. I don’t think its that expensive but its cheep if you share fries.

Excellent service, great burgers and fries. Save room for a shake. Would give them 5 stars if they had onion rings. Better than 5 Guys!

I must admit this place has a great burger! Rarely do I ever eat a hamburgers due to lack of flavoring. But this place gets an A… This is a build your own burger restaurant. Phone orders can get misplaced so ensure they have your correct info. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
