The Float Place

One of the most enlightening experiences I’ve had in my life. The feeling of letting go of letting go. Complete relaxation, complete tension release. The most powerful moment came after the first 15 minutes. As a first time floater, it took awhile to get zoned in – to feel comfortable enough to allow the water to take me. Once i fully gave in, my mind felt completely released from my body. I felt like I was floating through space, pondering my life, and feeling at peace with myself. Afterwards, because I had a 10pm session, I didn’t get as much time to reflect as I wanted. Next time, I will bring a sketch pad and journal to log my thoughts. I cannot wait to float again, and peel back more layers of my consciousness. Thanks for running such an amazing establishment.

A very pleasant staff and clean facility. Amazing first experience. Let me first give you a little background on me, I’m 26 and have RA –Rheumatoid Arthritis –bad and also motorcycle injuries to my right arm/​elbow.
After floating for 90 mins I WAS COMPLETELY RELAXED. For me to have even 50% less pain this would have been well worth it but by the time the music came on to let me know my time was up – i had about 10% or less pain and my mind was untaxed.
I then went into the relaxation lounge where Hardy (one of the owners), offered me alkaline water or tea. We sat (with another lovely customer of his) for an hour after my float talking about whatever was on our minds
I can’t wait to go back — would live in the tank if it was allowed

This was my very first experience floating. I was intrigued when I heard about the concept. I’ve done a lot of meditating (Crystal healing bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, Reiki, etc.) and have been involved with energy work for a better part of 30 years.
The waiting area was very nice, and the person at the desk was super friendly and offered quite a bit of information about their services.
To be totally honest with you, when I first arrived I used the restroom and it was kind of dirty. I thought to myself, ‘if they don’t keep the toilet clean, I wonder if the floating tanks are clean?’ It wasn’t the best first impression.
My room had a wonderful shower, and I would have to say the floating experience was very relaxing and pleasant. I was so relaxed, in fact, I actually fell asleep.
Unfortunately, shower room that I was in had metal grates holding ceiling tiles and they were pretty rusty. The rust actually dripped down the walls and stained them. A magic sponge would’ve gone a long way in that room.
All in all, I might try this experience again. I would suggest to management that they pay a little bit closer attention to detail when keeping their establishment serviced and clean. Your bathroom and shower rooms truly should be absolutely spotless and a little bit more attention to detail in the upkeep of your rooms would go along way.
I wish them continued success, and I hope that my words are viewed only as constructive criticism. I truly believe they are providing a valuable service.

Amazing first experience. Let me first give you a little background on me, I have a bad back, neck, knees and ankle (sports injuries) and I was growing tired of nothing working.
The second I walked in the front door, my mood immediately took a turn for the better. My friends who float regularly have been telling me to try it for months, and after a really stressful week I had the opportunity to get down there. First thing first, Hardy (one of the owners) is one of the most spiritual, connected people I’ve ever met, he has an aura to him that is calming and uplifting. Before floating he went over the appropriate etiquette and what to expect during the session. I was comfortable from the first second.
I took my shower and entered the float room, shut the lights and drifted away. I thought I was only in there for 20 – 30 minutes, I was floating for 90. For the first time in a long time, I had no pain and my mind was truly clear.
After the session, I went into the relaxation lounge where Hardy was waiting to offer me alkaline water or tea. We sat (with another lovely customer of his) for several hours after my float talking about our lives, spirituality and everything in between.
I can’t wait to go back and join on membership. Everyone should experience this at least once. Thank you Float Place for being what you are. Don’t ever change (unless you’re growing!!)

I have been to the float place twice for myself, and I loved it so much I brought my boyfriend in to try it! I was a first time floater, and didn’t really know what to expect. Tom (the owner) talked me through the whole process beforehand and gave me tips and instructions on how to get the best experience. The owner was so passionate about floating and you could tell the float place was a labor of love for him. He is also very big on cleanliness! The place was spotless and very well kept. Once you are done with your float, the owner is eager to find out how the experience was for you. He sits down with you in the waiting room and chats for a bit over a cup of tea or a bottle of water. I can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, relaxing experience. There really is nothing like it. He offers gift cards too, and I personally think a gift card to the float place would be an amazing holiday or birthday gift!

I had heard about floating so when the opportunity came up I decided to take the hubby and just go for it.
The hubby called Tom ahead of time and made all the arrangements.
We get there and it is in a private residence so that it is by appointment only.
We meet Tom and he is as nice and accommodating as could be. He answered all my questions and any reservations I had were instantly put to rest.
Here is a little info just so you know ahead of time. You shower before and after and everything is included from towels (really soft) to shower gel shampoo and conditioner. There is only one tank but if you go with somebody there is a wait area so each of you can go one at a time
Tom is really passionate and easy going at the same time and will make sure your experience is awesome.
The float experience itself is wonderful. I enjoyed the darkness and quiet. It was very comforting and peaceful. I came out and I felt deeply relaxed right to my core.
I feel refreshed and rebooted and gained a new perspective of a problem I was trying to solve. Definitely worth it!

If you are looking to relax and feel reborn you need to try floating! When we got there we were originally a bit sketchy about what floating was and if was worth it. The owner explained everything out perfectly. He was one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable people I’ve met. He was so personable that we immediately felt comfortable and were ready to float. I can’t describe what floating is in words because it is such an amazing experience that I can only urge you to try it for yourself. you deserve it! The entire set up is brand spanking new and awesome looking. You go into the float tank room (its waterproof so you don’t have to worry about getting anything wet) There is a shower that you use before and after your float. The music is serene — they play music as soon as your float begins and they make it a little louder to let you know your float is over at the end. This is much better than someone knocking on the door! After the music comes on and your float is over you should wait about 2 minutes to get out of the tank. This is a local business so you should always support local businesses! 1 Float/​60 mins– $ 65. 1 float f/​90 mins-​$ 90. You can become a member and get a free float. New comers get a buy 1 get 1 float for $ 99(which is what I bought since I will DEFINITELY be going back!) He takes credit cards/​has gift cards/​has a groupon thing going. Also, he sells all organic health type of things (coconut oil, 180, organic coffee, hemp stuff, and a few vitamins.) that I looked at while my boyfriend was floating. I can’t say how much you should check this place out!

Awesome experience first time floating! The room is well appointed and they have everything you need. Tom was great and super attentive & knowledgeable. Definitely plan to return!
