I work in Deer Park and this is one of my regular shops to stop by for a meal or snack on the go. The flavors are the best, and they sell amazing soups and top notch hot dogs, too! Best of all, they just installed an indoor order window so you’re never left out in the cold anymore! Friendly service every time, and great eats.

I never would have tried this hole in the wall place thinking I have tried Ices just didnt care for them but, this place was giving away any flavor you wanted as they were closing for the season and had to get rid of the inventory. The whole family was thrilled with the flavors. The wife got orange creamsicle and it brought back memories of the old Stella Doro ices on the avenue creamy. This is a true find and im glad we found it.

Overjoyed that I spotted one east of my grandparents’ house, I approached the small shop that is Uncle Louie G’s from the tiny enclave of a parking lot that sits across the street, barely off DPA along LI Ave. Signs covered virtually every inch of the glass, and I almost tried going through the door, but heard someone beckon me over to the small, too-low window. The menu, consequently, is pretty vast, and the prices reasonable. I opted for a small BK Cheesecake ice cream(1 scoop=$ 3) and a small Soprano Spumoni/Holi Canoli(2 scoops=$ 2.25). I took forever to order, but the kid who helped me dealt with it well enough, forking over $ 5.25(it seemed to be cash only but don’t quote me on that). I was handed heaping scoops for a good value, the ice cream boasting unspeakable flavor and chunks of crust. I sat my fat ass down on the stones at the back of the aforementioned parking lot, near the fence… like a creep. My stomach and palate could’ve done without the ices, but they were still a superior product to most joints that seem ubiquitous these days. Aside from the one-way exit, the generous portions left me happy I finally made it to an Uncle Louie G’s.
