They have got a great selection of bagels here. Always enjoy coming to this place!

My understanding is that the bagel making equipment is from NYC and that must explain the reason that these are the best bagels in my area. Although I am not big on bagel sandwiches, my family is absolutely crazy about the ones that Upper Crust makes. They have every kind of bagel imaginable, the service is excellent, and the location is superb. That is why this is THE bagel place in the Deerfield area!

Upper Crust has the best bagels ever. Period. My favorite is the sesame skinny bagel. My husband and childrens’ favorites are the regular sesame and supreme. Our children grew up eating these bagels. When they left for college we always brought a fresh baker’s dozen when we visited. Then we even brought UP bagels when we visited one of them in Paris and the other in Amsterdam! Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious, too. I always like it when the brothers/owners are there. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I had run into the fish store next door at lunch, so when i was leaving figured I’d try this place. I LOVE bagel sandwiches! Well, turns out they were out of my 1st choice of bagel, so decided to go with a plain bagel. Basically I just got a turkey with cheese, plain. They didn’t even ask if i wanted it toasted. Threw it together and rang me up. Not impressed with the service. In fact i found the guy working borderline rude. And i almost fainted at the cost for one sandwich. There was one other thing that I didn’t appreciate while there, but for the life of me I cannot remember at the moment. If it comes back to me, i’ll update review. i don’t think I’ll be back. The only reason i would try them again would be to pickup bagels to toast for breakfast.

This is our favorite bagel place on the north shore. Everything is fresh. Try the sweet relish tuna or the salmon salad. The BBQ salmon and the salmon belly is also excellent. Great and friendly service too.

This place is awesome! Fresh bagels that are just delicious! Their breakfast sandwiches are to die for, and every time I get back from school I have to get a salami, egg and cheese bagel the next morning! Also, they always have some sort of cookie or pastry to sample while you wait. If you’re looking for a quick, cheap breakfast, there’s no place better!

My go-to spot for bagels and the fixings on the north shore. These are not chewy white-bread bagels that haven’t been boiled. Upper Crust bagels have the crunchy exterior and perfectly done inside. Can’t speak for the sandwiches but the variety is great — salt, garlic, pumpernickel, chocolate chip — you name it. Cream cheese options as well and a couple choices of salmon and salads. You can be a traditionalist or go a little off the beaten path. Lines can grow on Sunday morning but you can order ahead. I also find the counter staff helpful and quick. BTW, if you need to please a crowd with choices, you can always pick up some donuts or coffee cake at Deerfield Bakery which is about 300′ away.

Walked in a few minutes before 4pm on a Saturday to grab a bagel(sign in the window said OPEN and there were 2 customers in the store — a hefty man behind the counter barked at me that they were closing and asked me to leave. Never going back, treated me like garbage. Don’t waste your time at Upper Crust Bagels.

We tried again as promised. These are good bagels! Yes, they are smaller than years ago, but they have great texture, crisp where they need to be and soft where else. Considering choices and quality as the only consideration(vs cost)… This is a good bagel!

Upper Crust Bagels is great. Today there was a line out the door for Mothers’ Day. It was worth the wait, because as I served them back at home, I didn’t toast the bagels like I usually would because they were still warm from the store. Really good Supreme bagels. All the other necessities are here as well.

The only bagel my son will eat before his wrestling meets! In my opinion the best lox and bagels on the north shore. Thanks upper crust!

Bagels don’t get much better then these. Crusty and chewy. I prefer them to Ess-A-Bagel in NYC and they come close to Brick Lane Beigel Bake in London, UK. Thick schmear of their fresh cream cheese and I’m happy. Can’t wait to visit again in April.

I have been coming to Upper Crust since they first opened their doors. The family that runs UC is wonderfully friendly, never failing to greet me with enthusiasm and a smile. The hand-cut nova made my stingy-with-the-praise New Yorker cook friend nearly weep with praise. It is the best both of us have ever had. And the supreme egg bagels? Sublime. The Black Russian sandwich will also knock your socks off. UC puts together a beautiful deli tray, whether for shivas or happier occasions. I cannot give them high enough praise!

This place isn’t very good. The selection is limited, the bagels were average at best overpriced and the staff is rude. Went twice and had similar experiences. Oh and make sure they ring our order up correctly they tried to over charge me(both times)!!!

A real NY style Jewish deli with crusty, chewy house-made bagels and bialys. Even better are the homemade cream cheese spreads and salads of many sorts: white fish, chicken, tuna, regular egg, egg white and more. Daily specials are a good deal. Today I tried the sesame sandwich which normally comes on a sesame bagel, but I opted for a soft rye. Included are lightly grilled ham, turkey, Swiss, Russian dressing, lettuce and tomato. Really top notch ingredients and super tasty. I have also tried the salami special on a pumpernickel bagel and it was also superb with mounds of a flavorful soft salami and onion. Most sandwiches come with homemade coleslaw or potato salad. There are about 4 tables in the place and seating for 10 or so. Black and white cookies, halvah and tasty biscotti are also available for dessert. It’s really good. Regulars know that the entrance is in the back off the parking lot.

5 to 6 is happy hour. 5.09 for a bakers dozen. This is pretty much as good of a price as I know for bagels(real bagels, not the Panera junk which is just a roll with a hole). Plenty of cream cheeses and lox to boot. It will hold up to anyone who knows what a bagel should be. And since its soo close I don’t have to make a trip to NY Bagel and Bialy for my fix.

This place would survive in NYC! The bagels are properly boiled… The cream cheese is fresh… Lox is prepared just right as they smoke it themselves. This place is a definite must for bagels and spreads.
