My first time was great. Beer was cold, I had a dozen traditional wings, they were great. Jersey’s is right across the street from Buffalo Wild Wings, and TOTALLY worth the taking! I’m from out of town and have no special interest in Jerseys. Just an honest review of my eve this evening. Here in town for the Great Ohio Bike Adventure. GOBA2015

Stopped in for dinner after work. Across the street from my hotel and the Buffalo Wild Wings was packed. Great happy hour. $ 2 domestics and wells. Food was eh, but the prices were reasonable… Pay for what you get I guess. I had the traditional wings with classic hot sauce. Wings were on the small side and the sauce was scarce. Not satisfied I ordered a veggie quesadilla which was better but still nothing special. The southwest sauce it came with was good tho. Stick to happy hour drinks here. Go to Buffalo Wild Wings across the street unless you’re on a budget.

Food: :( Service: :) Over all experience: :( «Pretty good… I give it a D+» Today we had lunch at Jersey’s. We figured it would be a nice departure from last nights fried food expedition from that«yellow & black establishment with a large four-hooved animal with wings on it» across the way. Food at Jersey’s is very predictable, with not much niché-like specialty foods to choose from. «Hey menu, please sound off…» 1. Fried chicken wrap…“check!“ 2. Blue cheese burger…“check!“ 3. American burger…”…check!“ 4. Fried pickles…“check!“ Really, Just basic greasy fare, not far off from a truck stop diner… But with lots of tv’s and prettier woman who still have their teeth. Just basic dude. it’s like we could have walked back into the kitchen and threw some stuff together on our own and called it… the«awesome house special» and reccomended it to guests. Yah, today we fell for it– you guys got us with your cool big neon sign & billboard out front. We were thinking you could have been our savior from fried food averageness that plages this town. One would think In the land of Walmart and AppleBee’s, Stop-N-Shop and Steak & Shakes– a small mom and pop establishment somewhere in this sleepy middle American town, there could be a food-Noir shinning star of a restaurant out there that triumphs over the«average» fried meal, OR for which fried food establishment has A more quality ranch dressing dip-like spread. Is there such a place in this town? At Today’s meal… Food lost big time. Today I give Jersey’s a D+

Plenty of TVs and drink specials to make it a good sports bar, but I am rating my review on lunch. For self proclaiming themselves the Gameday Grill, the burgers should be able to stand up to competitors. The sides were decent, but not even close to make up for the entrees. My brother and I got burgers ordered medium and medium rare only for them both to come out medium well. The buns were stale to boot. My wife got a Philly cheesesteak and the meat quite frankly just tasted like old socks. Note to the owner: if you think you can charge $ 35 for a lunch for two at a bar and grill, you better wing up the freshness and quality. Not going back for this Gameday hopefully ever.

Attentive and friendly service makes it a three star for me and a safe bet to return in the future. Good pour on the cocktails too. However, the menu is lacking choices and creativity but consider the location and demo. Best to go for drinks and on a full belly.

Nice atmosphere as an out of towner. Pizza was very good for defiance options. Wife’s drink was on the strong side but good. Great tv watching a well. Service was quite good also.

Thought I’d give this place a try after hanging out at BW3 across the street. It’s basically the same thing, only different — with not as many people. Big cavernous space, lots of TVs — cold beer — decent and fairly-priced food. Stopped in a couple of times around dinner — some«after work» groups and familes at tables — but hardly anyone sitting at the bar. When places this big are not full, they seem that much emptier. I forget what I ordered(it’s been a few months) but I do remember it being very good. Service at bar was very attentive, otherwise nothing special. There’s just too many bars of this type in this small town — I’m not sure it can sustain them all.

Jersey’s Sports Bar is just like about every other restaurant in Defiance. It’s average at best. But the name says it all. It’s a sports bar. A sports bar with some food. It is a great place to have a few beers and catch a game, but for the dining experience, it’s very ordinary. The menu is very limited. Standard bar food with appetizers, burgers, wings and other sandwiches. Nothing unique. Nothing to write home about. Service was great, though we couldn’t pay the check when we wanted to leave because there was something wrong with their credit card machine. Server came back with the check and card and said she would try later. Fifteen minutes past before we could sign our copy and leave. Will I return? Sure. But the only time I might eat there again is if I’m starving. Or I just might eat elsewhere before or afterwards.

Well, ate here last night. Service was good and the atmosphere was sports bar but the food was lacking. Had a selection of appetizers between the group I was with. The burger sliders were dry and tasteless — these were just a regular burger grilled and cut into quarters. Kind of a chincy way to make sliders. The chicken sliders were very dry and had almost no meat on them. The BBQ Pork sliders were the exception — very meaty and very good. We had a couple kinds of wings and they were just very average. There is another place in town to go for much better wings. Overall this was not a meal that I would have thrown out but I will not go again.

Jerseys was a great place to come into late saturday night. We knew we only had 15 minutes till closing but we were hungry big time! Well the server made us feel very welcome and suggested we order quickly which being a restaurant manager and chef I’m glad she did. To many times people are rude about it — enough said. We ordered and even ordered for friends on the phone coming ASAP. The food was hot and very good. The bartender was friendly and it was nice to see the manager only locking the door at exactly closing time and not early. Why important well anyone cooking can’t clean everything in the kitchen until the last order, and after a long night for them and for us everything was just wonderful to enjoy and be treated like guests coming in late as if we were there at 8:30 or so. They did a beautiful job on the décor of a overused building and truly made it a great place to go. I’ll be back hungry for more!
