The Lockheart Popcorn kiosk and store in Stonecrest owner demonstrated to my husband and me that he did not want our business. This store opened about two months ago and I purchased at least eight bags of the popcorn. I really wanted to support minority businesses. Yesterday I stopped at the kiosk to buy popcorn. The salesperson was telling another customer that they were having a special of two bags for $ 10.00. I replied to him that that is not a special because I had purchased eight bags since they opened and the price was two bags of popcorn for $ 10.00. This person flamboyantly waltzed away from me… actually turned his back to me with a head shake and said, «ma’am you can either buy it or not.» I could not believe a salesperson would respond as such. So we went upstairs to the store to launch a complaint. We spoke to the manager who stated that the salesperson at the kiosk was actually the owner. I was shocked!!! The manager tried to make excuses for his behavior, however, the other young lady at the counter actually apologized to us and made the comment, «I remember you from making purchases downstairs». Mind you the manager was much older than the young lady who understands the importance of the consumer. We did not want any type of compensation or any special treatment, we only wanted to be treated respectfully. I made a decision yesterday that I will no longer support that company. It is about principles!!!
