Terrible service. Extremely slow, only one person working, and no one answering the phone.

Pizza is ok, but I have yet to have an order delivered that was not messed up in some way. Wrong toppings, forgotten items, etc. We gave it 3 shots, and received a messed up order 3 times. Wont be calling for delivery again.

Pizza is good but customer service blows. I called in about my wings I believe I received a single order instead of a double. Whether I was wrong or right the child answering the phone needs to learn social skills. She started with a sarcastic attitude before she even knew what was goin on. I worked in the food industry for 10 years and this is not who you want answering your phones.

I decided to get toppers because I had heard good things. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and I’m only one guy. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed. No delivery during dinner time at the time when I was hungry(around 6pm). Ordered the topperstix take out instead no extra toppings with Garlic Parmesan dipping sauce. The pizza was ok(similar to little ceasers in my opinion) but I felt sick after tasting the dipping sauce. It didn’t sit right in my stomach. I decided to give them one more try and got the hot boneless wings. WAYTOOHOT. I’m normally a tolerant person of hotness(regularly ordering Cajun from wing stop). Overall: It’s also over priced for what it is. 1213 bucks for a meal that’ll make me feel like I wanted to throw up twice. Do not recommend.

It’s a glorified pizza hut, without any great specials. It’s rather overpriced for what you get. Some of the dipping sauces just taste terrible. I’d rather go across the street and get some real pizza at Pizza Villa.

I want to like Toppers, the food is good, and the menu is interesting. But when I get a 40 minute delivery estimate and both times the wait is 80 minutes, something is wrong. I don’t fault the drivers, both orders have arrived with the driver in a flop sweat, breathing heavily, apologizing for the wait, and still asking if I need plates, napkins, or condiments. Drivers are good, food is good, but the wait is goddamn awful.

Toppers provides college students with a nice affordable option for late night pizza. I only tried the pepperonistix which came out piping hot and were very filling at a good price with a bunch of dipping sauce options.

Toppers Pizza is what you would expect from a fast food pizza joint. It’s average at best. My order has been messed up on a few occasions. The wings are ok. The delivery staff is prompt and carry a special bag with extras. I feel this is a smart unique idea. Toppers has my vote on fast food wings, not so much the pizza.

Toppers is a bit like Papa Johns: the specialty pizzas are reliably worthwhile. I enjoy the BBQ chicken. The prices are reasonable and if you look around campus, there are probably a few fliers with the latest deals. The delivery is fairly slow, however, and the dining room in the actual restaurant includes two tiny two-tops. When I visited, the tables were sticky and the rest of the dining area looked fairly dingy, but the staff was friendly at least. I think I’d like Toppers better if they had some higher quality breadsticks(topperstix).

I wasn’t a fan of the pizza, but the cheese stix are yummy. Ask for extra marinara because they give you just a small cup with them.

Toppers isn’t really one of my favorite pizza places, but it is decent. Their prices are good at least!

Haven’t tried too much at Toppers, but my experience so far has been ok. Nothing much to say about the pizza except that I’ve had worse and much better. Still looking for a decent pizza place around DeKalb.

Toppers is great. I love their house pizzas and topper sticks. They usually have good deals, so check their website or ask staff.

In a word: AWFUL! We just ordered two large one topping pizzas at $ 5 a piece to try this place out. I will never eat anything from here again. The pizza smelled funny, and the cheese was overcooked and rubbery. Not to mention a doughy crust. Buy a frozen pizza over Toppers, you will be much happier.

Why are you all so down on Toppers? It’s a PIZZACHAIN. I know it’s not super big right now but it’s definitely a chain. I honestly hope it expands more toward more populated areas in Illinois but it’s mostly in Wisconsin for now. So like I said, it’s a growing pizza chain. That means this is maybe a step above or on par with really average dough and cheese stuffs, such as Pizza Hut, Papa John’s and Domino’s. What does set Toppers above the rest of them is their wide variety of interesting toppings and special pizzas. IT’S INTHENAME, YO. This place is strictly take-out, the restaurant is too cramped, small and awkward to dine-in. Their general atmosphere is weird and silly. They try to be somewhat IN-YOUR-FACE with their menu and ads which may or may not be full with innuendo. There is also a strange 50’s radio sounding recorded voice over their phone when you call in which says things like, «your tongue wants to give you a pat on the back for choosing Toppers,» and you can’t reach an employee immediately. I wouldn’t recommend getting an averaged-topped pizza with sausage and green peppers or something of the like, there are much better places for that. I do recommend the Hangover Helper, it’s really yummy, flavorful and I love the potatoes; it’s a bit above the Potato Topper, which is also still good. I also enjoy the California Topper, and the Cool C-B-R. I usually get a hand-tossed crust because it’s not too thick and you get more for your money. I do really like their thin crust, but you’re getting robbed blind if you order it. My friends have gotten the grinders before and liked them okay, but I thought they looked a tad puny and when I tasted them they were average to good at best. From what I know, stick with pizza items. As for Topperstix, I am really pissed they eliminated Veggiestix a while ago, so I tend to go for the Tacostix, or just plain Topperstix now. Actually, I’d probably rather have another pizza but they tend to sell these things in deals so you get more for your money. However, they always have coupons on their weird flash site featuring a seemingly homicidal, creepy baby. …and this is important because this place can be kind of pricey for a pizza chain.

Not the worst pizza in town — that distinction is reserved for domino’s — but it’s not far off. Pizza is skimpy on toppings and flat out boring. Bland as can be with little other than look to let us know that it is indeed pizza we are eating. Have had it 3 or 4 times and I wouldn’t ever pay for it again.

I like Topper’s, but i am not adventurous with their menu. Pizza and breadsticks(essentially deconstructed pizza) are all I’ve tried. Both are good, and easy candidates for best in the county in my opinion. Though, i think very lowly of the pizza in DeKalb county. Hand-tossed pizza has a nice crust, chewy and soft. Vegetables are fresh, no canned mushrooms thank goodness. Personal favorite of mine is onion, though the pepperoni is a little above average, too. Pizza is served with pepperoncini, a nice touch. Topperstix are also good. I’ve only had the normal«breadsticks» which are pizza dough, served with cheese, garlic salt sprinkled over them, and a choice of sauce. I typically choose marinara, as bleu cheese, or ranch doesn’t sound like my preferred bread accompaniment. I cannot vouch for anything else, but the basic items are good, and worth the drive across town for me. I prefer Topper’s to Papa John’s which is my nearest competitor to compare to.

«Meh. I’ve experienced better,» is the perfect sentiment for Toppers. I couldn’t of said it better if I wanted to. The pizza is sub par, the wings are just okay and their grinders are okay. Topperstix are pretty decent though. I suppose I can recommend them.

With a billion pizza places in DeKalb, it can be a little difficult to choose. But the choice in my dorm is usually Topper’s, and not just because of their proximity to Starbucks. Toppers features some incredible specialty pizzas, and phenomenal buffalo wings. Their service is prompt, the drivers carry plates and napkins, and you’ll only regret that you really can’t eat in there.
