Lowe’s Home Improvement

I prefer Lowes to Home Depot but likely because I always seem to be closer to a Lowes. This one is great when I am helping with a project in Deland for my kids. My son and his wife have a new place and when you need something hardware wise this is the place to go. I know the layout of Lowes and they seem to mimic them every ware. I like that. Occasionally I have to get something for my daughter out here as well for her dorm and I would rather come here for things than Wal-​Mart any day.

I gave only 4 stars because Marvin seemed to be a little preoccupied on the phone when I first arrived. He fairly quickly ended his call when he realized I was intently watching and listening. After that he was very friendly and helpful. I decided to add another item to my delivery and he managed it very well. The cashier messed up my discount and had to give me a refund but all in all, my shopping experience was very pleasant. I will return… actually I think I live here part time!

Since there really aren’t any old fashion lumber yards on every corner anymore the big box stores win the business I don’t prefer Lowes over Home Depot or Home Depot over Lowes both have a niche business model so it’s almost a matter of who’s closest. I’ve found professionals, semi-​professionals and people who don’t have a clue but all in all I never need much help and usually provide a little training when I see the BS light turned on by the newbies who haven’t found a hiding place yet. Of course I will return Ace may be the place but only for small projects
Okay okay I cut and pasted my review from my Home Depot Review in NSB I also matched the star rating because I feel this Lowes location is about the same as the Home Depot in NSB.

This review is past due. I LOVE that Lowe’s has a 1 year guarantee on their plants. That says a lot about the company. This is better than Home Depots guarantee. I spent most of my time in the garden department here and everyone was always so nice and helpful.
