Shop somewhere else the selection is dismal and the service is worse. Horrible customer service on «Brett’s» behalf. My wife went in to return a suit jacket that was too tight around my shoulders and a shirt that didn’t feel right around my neck. She was told that because I had worn the shirt(purchased less than 24 hours before, I kept the pants that were purchased with it because those did fit well) and that he would not return the item. He begrudgingly returned the jacket and told my wife«it’s not cool to return clothes that you have worn» as if we buy clothes and return them for the sake of buying them and returning them. It’s insulting and rude and has been by FAR the worst experience in a Jc penny thus far. I had to go in myself and spoke with«Brett» who told me he wasn’t going to return the shirt because it was worn. I then asked to see the stores return policy to which he replied he has the right to refuse service to anyone(I didn’t get mad up until this very moment). I responded to that with I need to speak to your manager then. He said I am the manager. I said«no, I want to speak to YOUR manager.» After disappearing for a few minutes he returned with the store manager whom I explained the situation and how I had indeed worn the shirt and didn’t like how it felt around my neck. He then began to look it over(understandably wanting to make sure the merchandise isn’t damaged). «Brett» then decided to butt in with why I didn’t return it at the store I bought it from«since it was closer to where you live» according to him. I then explained that I had come into this store because it was 15 minutes from my house and not 45 minutes from my house. People move and simply because my license says I used to live somewhere doesn’t mean I still live there, again doesn’t say you have to return anything at the store it was purchased from. I then told him that had this store not had such a meager selection of men’s dress clothes I wouldn’t have been forced to drive to Visalia in the first place. Needless to say his attempt to make me feel as if I was trying to get over on him or the company wasn’t doing him any favors. FINALLY the store manager said do it to which he seemed to take offense to because he didn’t speak after that and only said here’s your receipt when I left. Worst experience by far. Do yourselves a favor and shop somewhere else where they will appreciate your business.

This store has gone down hill since the company reformation. Each time I stop in the selection is thinner and thinner. Today there was so little stock I had to ask if the store was closing!
