Being born and raised in Delano, Jenny’s Café have been one of the few Mexican restaurants I eat at. When I come home to Delano to visit, I always try my best to enjoy some good home town Mexican food. I never eat Mexican food in Las Vegas because it doesn’t taste as authentic as Jenny’s Café. Not only is their food delicious but customer services is great. It feels like I’m invite over to their home enjoying lunch or dinner. Some of my personal favor things to order are: –Beef & Chicken Falutas with Rice & Beans –Cheese Enchiladas –Menudo –Carne Asada Torta They have the BEST horchata ;) and when you first sit down in the restaurant, you are welcomed with chips and salsa. Typing out this review is making me hungry again. This is a nice restaurant to take your friends & family. They have an inside & patio area to eat. Heads up: when you first walk in, seat yourself… Don’t stand and wait lol :)

Ok. So my girlfriend works in Delano. I have driven up a couple of times and had lunch with her at this place. The dishes I have had have all been good, basic barbacoa, enchiladas, tacos, etc. The salsa is good, a bit spicy. Service is fine, the place gets pretty busy at lunch. Prices are reasonable. Ok, here is the low down on a dish my girl always gets and after today, I have decided I would drive to Delano to eat this particular dish anytime. The dish is Costillas de Puerco, for us gringos its«spicy pork ribs». The little ribs are cut into about 2″ sections, im guessing they are seasoned and then braised in some heavenly liquid and then topped with a very spicy salsa/sauce. Let me tell you, these little suckers are worth every penny it takes to drive to Delano. I cant wait for another chance to order these things for myself.

This place has been in delano for many years but I have never stepped in this establishment until yesterday. I have been missing out for years. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who told us to sit anywhere. Looking at the menu I could see a variety of Mexican cuisine. I wanted a seafood burrito but they only had seafood chimichanga. They accommodated my request. TOTALLYDELICIOUS. INADDITION… GREATCHIPSANDSALSA. PRICEPOINTISPERFECT.

Great stop in the big city of Delano. The waitresses are always really nice and very helpful if you have any questions concerning the menu and daily lunch specials.

After being told by three people to have lunch here, knew I had to try it. Chips and salsa were yummy. I ordered the chile verde burrito with rice and beans. Burrito was small, but was filled with awesome chile verde. Service was fast. Food was really good. I definitely want to visit again when I have more time and can try other menu items.

I have never been a fan of this place, but I’ve been to Jenny’s a few times. However, yesterday afternoon, I went with my boyfriend. My rice was hard and my cheese enchiladas were gross. I think I could’ve done a better job making them. To top it all off, the forks and spoons were dirty. Overall, I wouldn’t go back.

Usually I’m perfectly happy to go to Jenny’s. They’re fairly consistent and service is decent. Not today! My coworker and I were seated in the back room which basically meant we were forgotten. I don’t know if our server was just having a bad day, but she was not real friendly, brought the wrong drink and then forgot tortillas that went with my meal. Now, as far as the food goes, it was ok. I had the Barbacoa special and I don’t think I’ll get it again. Good flavor, but the sauce was runny and greasy and the meat was overcooked. My suggestion if you’re going to Jenny’s — get there early to avoid the lunch rush!

My mom and I have been coming here for years when we pass through so I took my husband today and needless to say, there wasn’t a speck of food left on his plate! It was delicious and the service was great!!! She was so friendly and we were in and out quickly. Definitely will be back next time we’re in town!

Reasonably priced comfort food comes with a few drawbacks. Service was slow; the servers were inattentive and made quite a few errors with our orders.

Places like this are why I love Unilocal! In town for baseball and trying to find some good food. This place had good reviews and was close to our hotel. Seated ourselves and was greeted right away with chips and spicy salsa. Yum! Ordered the combination with a chicken taco, delicious and crispy, and a chile relleno. Very good! Beans and rice were wonderful. Flour tortillas on the side were nothing special but the rest was perfect. We also ordered the 4 burrito special, only $ 6 for one each of potato, chile verde, bean and cheese and chorizo and egg. Dad ordered the Jenny’s breakfast burrito he said the chile verde was really good. Got busy near the end and after we were served no one checked on us for refills. But they did give us a to go cup when we paid. All in all, delicious food, nice staff, service could use a little work. But would come back in a heartbeat. Definitely worth it.

Don’t be fooled by the name. This is an authentic Mexican restaurant with a moving story. My fiancée loves hot. This food was hot and flavorful– delicious. Portions were generous. The four of us ate for under $ 30. Very easy on and off the 99. Highly recommend it– high jazz hands rating(our highest… lol)

I called them and ask if they take reservations, the lady on the phone said no we can’t since its Father’s Day. It says it on here that we can. I didn’t like the fact that she said its first come first serve. I’m Disappointed in them

A popular standout among many restaurants of the same food style in the area, Jenny’s serves many contractors and law enforcement during brunch hours and those who want a nicer more welcoming environment to enjoy Mexican inspired dishes. It is a self seating style with takeout available. If your sitting in you will be serve crisp chips and fairly good salsa(nice level of heat). Large cups for your drinks and crushed ice is a plus. The price, serving size, and taste are relative similar to others in the area. With that being said the food leaves you disgustingly full that you think to never come back because you’ve just had your fill, and yet you’ll find yourself coming back once again. Avoid lunch hours if you want quiet meal with good service. A better dinner spot. Go to the front desk to when your done to pay for your food.

The food was good but it was cold. Service was very very very slow. I suspect the plates were in the window for a long time before being brought to the table. Then a strange thing happened. We didn’t get a bill so after being tired of waiting we just went up to the register where our server was standing talking to another employee. I asked for the check and instead of her giving it to me she said the amount and held out her hand. It sounded correct so I gave her my debit card which she ran. I made sure the same amount was on the receipt before I signed it. I am still pondering that one. I guess when in Delano do as the Delanians do. :)
