I LOVE Stewarts. That should sum it up. I went to my hometown to visit this weekend and I forgot how much I loved this place. It is a local convenience store with shops all over upstate NY near Albany. It started in Saratoga and was mostly dairy products. I swear they have the best milk and ice cream you will have ever have. I’m used to Boston prices now so everything that’s in there seems unbelievably cheap. My boyfriend and best friend were very excited about the concept of «deli dogs» — 2 hot dogs, buns, meat sauce and all the toppings you can pile on for $ 1.89?! Sold. I didn’t partake in the deli dog disaster but I had a bite and I was impressed. You can get a quick breakfast or lunch in here for under 3 bucks. Everyone is friendly and they are the only place I’ve ever found that carries Big Bear 40’s. Yes, I’m country and my friends drank these in high school. I even had a few, and you wake up in the morning and your head is a bowling ball. But when you’re 17 and 40 oz of beer is $ 1.99? You can’t pass that up. I want to look into starting up a Stewarts franchise in Boston! I miss it!
