Great beers and bar games. An awesome place to hang out with friends and have a cold one. I have passed this place a dozen times and didn’t know what it was. So glad a friend suggested coming here after dinner. This won’t be my last visit. Great place!

My favorite brewery in central Ohio. They have a good selection of brews to please all types of beer drinkers. Very friendly and welcoming service, friendly patrons as well. They do not have food but often have a different food trucks in their parking lot if you want a bite to enjoy with your beer.

A true gem! I am an avid beer lover as was our party tonight. Being new in the area, a co-worker found Delaware and I found this place on Google Maps. Holy Smokes!!! We began the tasting with the most amazing Belgian quad that I have ever had at a brewery(notes of dark figs, currant, and caramel with a toasty malty finish… a sneaky high %) completely a sipper but set a high bar for the eve. Next, we dropped down the abvs to the Spruce Ale… this beer is worth the trip! Brewed with hand-picked spruce tips, it is incredible. I won’t ruin it by defining the palate but, I promise, you will NEVER have this anywhere else… don’t prepare for a pine-y bite, trust a well developed ale with the nuance of spruce(seriously, if you are nearby, try this beer). Service is great, lovely atmosphere, and people who clearly love what they do… yes please. Can’t wait until the next visit!

Gotta love this place. Great beer, fun owners, and chill environment. Usually have a food truck out back too! The hubster and I hit this place up quite often.

Disclaimer, I am not a beer drinker but I do appreciate a laid back friendly bar where creating hand crafted beer is a top priority. Stass Brewing company is one of those places. This is actually the place where I dare say, I learned to enjoy a good pint of beer. Now that is saying something. Beer selection is large and changes through the season. I think my favorite was the Tripel, a Belgium style beer available in the colder months. I also enjoyed the Apricot Wheat, great beer for sipping while sitting on the patio. Owner Liz, works behind the bar she is welcoming, friendly, and will answer any questions you have about the available beers. Really like a beer? You can also bring their beers home by purchasing a growler. What to sample each beer? You can do that too! This place only serves beer, and only their beer. You are more than welcome to bring in outside food. Food trucks are an option on the weekends.

I stopped at Staas Brewing Company on May 15, 2015. I had a pint of the Oatmeal Stout. It was delicious so I picked up a growler of the Oatmeal Stout. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. There were a lot of other beers available on tap; I had to hit the road so I limited myself to just the one pint. I don’t live anywhere near this brewery but hopefully I will get another chance to stop in and sample some of their other beers

Okay, I am not a beer drinker and definitely know little about craft beers. So, I ventured here one afternoon with a group from work. What a fun experience! The brewery is owned and ran by a local couple who have a passion for craft beers. They have 12 beers on tap and recently added two English beer engines,(hand crank). Liz gave us a tour of the facility while she and her husband, Donald, explained much about the brewing process and history of their little brewery. I enjoyed the experience because I learned more about beer. They specialize with Belgian and German craft beers. After the brief tour, I had a sampler of 4 different craft beers. My samples included their German Weizen, the Double IPA, Belgian Quadruple and their seasonal Vanilla Porter. My favorite is their Belgian Quadruple. The Quad went down real smooth and has a rich, hearty flavor. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I bought my first growler! Growlers are $ 5 for the glass and then the cost of the craft beer that you select. Liz & Donald were great as they took time to answer all our questions. You can tell they have a great passion for their beer making from their enthusiasm. I’d definitely drop in again to see what they have on tap.

Love this little brew house. Owned and operated by a married couple. Very welcoming and friendly! We will definitely return and the beer was good too! Delaware needed a spot like this and they fit right in.

I always have a great experience at Staas! Not only are the owners great but the beer is as well. Everyone in Delaware and Ohio in general needs to try this local brewery. The owners take a lot of time to ensure the beer is top notch and always have something new for you to try. Make sure to bring your growlers to fill up!

12 taps with finely crafted beers that are all brewed onsite. The beers are incredible and that’s all the serve — because they don’t need to serve anything else. But what really makes this place is the atmosphere. Always full of friendly, fun loving people and it’s all because of the owners, Liz and Donald, who are usually behind the bar, talking to patrons and making everyone feel like you’re hanging out in someone’s home. There’s also a side room with a dart board and shuffleboard table. I joined the shuffleboard league last winter and had a blast. If you’re a beer lover, you must try this place. And even if you’re not, you will still enjoy the laid back ambiance. We make new friends every time we go and plan to be going back again and again for many years to come.

What a pleasant surprise to find Staas. I’ve been a fan of craft brewing and the tap rooms they provide. I had very little expectations but was surprised the brewers staff the tap room. The brews where delightful and refreshing. While I’m not a huge fan of the Belgian style ales, I was not disappointed by the English profiles they also provide. The stand outs for us was the definitely the IPA and the ESB. These ales are well done and very true to the profiles they represent. The IPA wasn’t the in your face hops of the USIPA’s but a very pleasant English ale. The ESB was one of the best I’ve had for a very long time. We also greatly enjoyed the seasonal Brown Ale they had on tap. Unfortunately it was not a standard for Staas. If your looking for very good ale’s and enjoy the traditional tap room experience then Stass is for you. If want to learn about craft ale’s and have a great evening then please stop by Staas, they will surely welcome you and answer any questions you have.

Everybody says snitches get stitches… but I’ll take the risk to inform any Unilocal users that this is one of the best establishment’s in delaware! The owners make it a goal to personalize your experience here too. Not to mention there beer is top notch! So everybody grab a posse and raise a glass at one of delawares up and coming watering holes!

Wow! This is in Delaware! Amazing! Great beer. Simple beer menu. The beer is an excellent example of fresh locally made craft beer. It is a real conversation starter! The bar and ambiance would be at home in an upscale area of Tokyo, but is incredible for Delaware. To add to that, they had nice bathrooms and the Reds game on. The only improvement I could suggest would be to have a football match on the TV… I mean, c’mon…the Crew were playing that night.

Stopped by Staas again tonight, helping them celebrate their 1 year anniversary in Delaware. I have to say, so far there have been no diminishing returns from this amazing brewery! Tonight I tried two different beers. First, I had the Cinnamon Basil Saison. It was a special brew they tapped for the occasion, and it didn’t disappoint! It was a light, summery beer, but full of taste and perfect for a warm July evening! Second, I tried the cream ale. It was a bit heavier and it served me well as a «last beer of the night» offering. A delicious choice, to be sure. The brewery offers 10 – 12 selections that rotate in and out occasionally. Truly, you can’t go wrong with any of the selections. And if you’re stuck, I’m sure the owners, Donald and Liz, would be more than happy to offer up a suggestion and a taste to help you make up your mind! They’re kind, fun people who are working hard to make an impression on the Delaware community, and they will certainly help make your night out on the town more enjoyable! I can’t recommend this spot highly enough. Go check it out!

Words escape me to express how much my wife and I love this place. Remarkable beers on every tap. Don and Liz are insanely friendly(mostly sane anyway!) :) :) Very relaxing and comfortable neighborhood bar. You owe it to yourself to check out the wonderful craft brews.

What a great place! The owner and his wife have created a unique atmosphere, and hit a home run. These guys brew their own beer, and serve it up in a warm, cozy environment that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. The beer itself is excellent, and the space fosters a friendly crowd such that if you don’t know anyone, you’ll have a lot of new friends shortly. A great place that I can’t wait to get back to.

Staas is a great local brewery in downtown Delaware that«gets it.» Meaning they are locally involved, are passionate about their craft and are the best at what they do. The whole place has a vision from the creation of the actual bar to the stained glass windows and flowers on the tables. Try any of the beers on tap and you’ll be satisfied. Styles on any given weekend include German Weizen, Belgian Golden Strong, Saison, Session IPA, Oatmeal Stout, Belgian Dubbel, Belgian Quad, Imperial Pale, 2x IPA, Kölsch, Apricot Wheat, ESB or Extra Special Bitter, and it’s always changing. This article( ) is a good write up that I wrote and wasn’t solicited to write, but wrote anyway because I love the place so darn much. :)

Best beer and service around. Rotating beers and friendly owners make you want to come back each week to see what is available. Customer interaction makes the regulars and new visitors feel welcome. I have struck up conversations with a number of people and had a great time. Plus you can challenge people to FIFA!!!
