Read the review from another poster and was really excited to try this diner. We were very disappointed. We ordered the seafood platter and a soft shell po boy. The seafood didn’t taste fresh. The best thing we had was the French fries. The salad was questionable at best. Perhaps we came on a bad day, but I can’t recommend this.

This place was a pleasant surprise in little Delcambre! I have passed through this town many times before, but never noticed it till I stopped at the gas station across the street. Being as I hadn’t eaten yet, I stopped on by. I was not disappointed! The good lady who runs the place is very friendly. Hospitality was good. She recommended the special, which sounded good to me. And the price could not be beat! For the amount of food I got, it was less than 6 bucks! As for the environment, very comfortable with a definite home-like feel. Not a large place, but offered enough space to feel comfortable. There’s a TV by the register for those wishing to watch the tube while waiting for their food. Very clean too… Had no complaints there! Parking is a bit cramped if you’re having to fight a crowd, and you can’t park in front of the houses on the street, since that is private residence. So get there early if you’re trying to grab a lunch. The only real issue with this place is paying for your meal: no credit or debit. They’ll only take cash or check. But that’s not an issue really… Just go across the street and pull some cash from the ATM. All in all, a nice little Southern diner to stop at if you’re passing thru Delcambre. I highly recommend it!
