Yeah I don’t give out stars like candy — this is the place if you are anywhere in the Catskills — it’s worth the drive. Not only are they amusing but they know their stuff — they love and live in old houses and know how to paint them and take care of them the right way — 10 years ago the owner Harold gave me the best advice on stripping my deck and how to leave the back row when its time to repaint — they advised me on caulking glazing oil stains and mixed custom colors perfectly — Sherwin Williams paint is good too — but no one beats the customer service of a place like this — AND his wife is a talented picture framer.

I really like shopping here for art supplies and house paint. The proprietors are helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They sell good quality, basic furniture downstairs – bookshelves, dressers, etc. No need to fuss with the annoying service and maze-​like atmosphere of Home Depot and Lowe’s when you can get your painting-​related needs met here.
