Murray’s has always been a good choice for a slice or to grab some takeout. There is enough seating to stop in for a quick bite on lunch, the staff is friendly and always welcoming. I would suggest trying the calzone’s if you haven’t I am pretty sure they are the largest in the area, my suggestion is the buffalo chicken calzone with ranch/blue cheese!

DONOTSUPPORT A BUSINESSTHATCOULDCARELESSABOUTIT’S CUSTOMERS!!! We used to order from Murray’s and stopped after their quality had gone down. After Lou Bea’s closed, we reluctantly decided to give it a try. It was good. Unfortunately, their reliability was no where even close. Tonight, I placed an order through Mealeo just like I had in the past. After waiting for and hour &20 minutes for an order that was supposed to arrive in 45 min, I called to check on the order. They said it was on it’s way. 5 minutes later, I received a call from Murray’s. They said that«the order just popped up on their screen» & that it was not their fault & all Mealeo’s fault. I was obviously not happy & asked for a manager. He said he was the manager. He blamed it all on Mealeo, said, «don’t get mad and loud at me, lady» and said there was nothing he could do. I won’t go into the remaining details, but he was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional and we will NEVER order from them again. What ever happened to just saying, «I’m sorry?» Oh, and I called Mealeo to see what happened. They told me times that faxes and emails were sent to Murray’s, as well as when they confirmed the order!!!

If you are thinking of ordering here you may want to rethink your decision. Ordered 2 Fish fries on Good Friday and when ordering I was told that fries did not come with the meal and if I wanted fries it would be one dollar more. I also ordered an eggplant sub. When I went to pick the order up they had a sign on the window that said fish fry with fries for $ 6.95 so I realized I was told wrong on the phone but I did not say anything. I got home and opened up the fish fry dinners I had ordered and the fish fry itself was hard and chewy with a sub roll that had been cut down length wise for some reason. The cocktail sauce looked like it had been once frozen and seemed to be clumpy. The order of onion rings I had order were a joke… both chewy and were of the frozen kind. I then opened the package for the eggplant sub… even more disappointing. if you like a old stale roll with tasteless tomatoe sauce, very little cheese and a single layer of frozen eggplant with the skin still on it. The eggplant was very hard to find in the roll and was cold. This meal all around was the worst. Don’t waste your hard earned money on trash like this. Not the place it once was.

Our go to pizza joint. Pizza and wings are great. Hot subs are amazing and a great value.

Rounding up to 4 due to friendly service. We had a few slices of different glaciers, which were very good. Our antipasto salad was fresh– made to order– and much better than others I’ve had in this town. They have seating and are welcoming. It was a nice, quick meal before a movie.

This review is for Murray’s full dinners. We haven’t had the pizza yet, although what we’ve seen in the place looks and smells good. If you’re not into reading long reviews, the concise summary is that the dinners are excellent for a take-out pizza joint, and overall the place is surprisingly affordable. My review is treating Murray’s as a take-out Italian food restaurant. My husband and I live close by and have ordered subs, Parmesan dinners, and lasagna to-go. By far, our favorite has been the chicken parm dinner(listed as «chicken with ziti» on the menu… I get spaghetti instead, a request which they accommodate). The chicken parm is cooked nicely. It’s not a super-thin«Little Italy» paperweight chicken cutlet; it’s a nice, evenly thin breaded cutlet that is moist and breaks apart easily without having to saw through it with a knife. The lasagna is cheesy and saucy and solidly good. They use a good bit of garlic in their sauce without overdoing it, which is a skill I wish was used in other local Italian places. When I’ve called in, the employees are very nice and I’ve never felt rushed, which seems to be the norm when placing an order over the phone. Summary: We were initially skeptical about Italian food from a place with an Irish name, Irish font, and Celtic knot on the sign, however our hesitation was happily proven wrong and we’re thrilled to have an affordable Italian place in easy driving distance for take-out nights. Highly recommended. Try the: — Chicken Parm dinner(«chicken with ziti») — Lasagna — Chicken Parm sub — Meatball Parm sub

We ordered 20 wings(extra crispy), a chicken parm sub & stromboli. We called the order in after viewing their menu online for pick up as it is close to us. Food was all around good. We will order again

Delmar is a sad sad place for pizza. We’ve had bad luck at nearly ever other pizza joint in town and were about to give up on neighborhood pizza for nights we get home too late from work to cook. On a whim, we tried Murray’s. It’s standard upstate pizza. The crust is a little too soft, the sauce a little too sweet… But the toppings were fresh and plentiful. Salads are good, though it’s a bummer you get pre-packaged salad dressing. Wings are over cooked. They’re not just crispy, they’re dry. But, and here is the most important thing here, we’ve never been served anything stale, anything not fully cooked and our order has been right 100% of the time. We’ve never ordered something for pickup only to have been told upon arrival the location doesn’t make it anymore. We can’t say the same thing for other pizza places in our neighborhood to Murray’s wins out.

If you’re into bland and tasteless pizza, order from Murray’s. Please use better ingredients and spices! Quick delivery was a plus though.

Ordered a large cheese pizza for delivery, and was pretty disappointed. The cheese was very oily. I usually only have to soak up the grease with a napkin on pepperoni pizza, but that’s what I had to do in this case. The sauce was bland. Friendly service and delivery, but bad pizza.

Having just arrived in town from New York, we were starving — but also exhausted. Pizza delivery would feed us but keep us from having to go out. Murray’s staff was faultlessly polite on the phone, which was good because we ended up talking with them quite a lot that night. The pizza we ordered arrived after 90 long minutes. It was fairly cold, sporting the wrong toppings, and missing the sides we’d ordered. We called Murray’s up and(to their credit) they offered to make it right. The replacement pizza arrived about an hour later, also somewhat cold, but with the right stuff on it this time. The driver sheepishly asked us to return the first pizza, which was odd. The pizza was pretty good after we heated it up, but wasn’t worth the odyssey we went through to get it. Maybe we should have gone out.

We were looking for a quick bite to eat on a Sunday night and we grabbed a few slices from here. I had picked Murray’s since the reviews seemed to be pretty good and I figured you couldn’t go wrong with pizza. Unfortunately, their pizza just isn’t any good. The crust is too thick and the flavor of the sauce and cheese are weak and bland. I’ve since found better pizza places around the area and I suggest you don’t waste you hard-earned money on sub-par pizza.

Chicken fingers are THEBEST I’ve had just about anywhere and subs are above average for the area. DEFINITELY try the chicken fingers though, you will not be disappointed! Staff friendly. More of a take out establishment than a dine in though tables are available.

For a recent party, about 15 of my friends and I did a blind taste taste of six of the pizzas in Delmar. Murray’s was the runaway winner. The results: 1. Murray’s — 60 points 2. Adriano’s — 29 points 3. Pizza House — 27 points 4. Pizza Hut — 9 points 5. I Love New York — 9 points 6. Mercato’s — 1 point Each person rated the pizzas from best to worst with #1 getting five points, #2 getting three points and #3 getting one point. Murray’s may not the best pizza in the Capitol Region, but based on our taste test, it is the best pizza in Delmar.

Haven’t tried the pizza yet, but Murray’s submarine sandwiches are above average, we’ve already tried the Roast Beef, came back to try the Tuna, and we will be returning to sample the rest of the Hoagie menu!

Riding through Delmar around a very sunny high noon, I pull into Murray’s Pizza to grab a quick bite. I go inside and the place is a bit dark and the first thing I see are a few thin crust pizzas(by the slice) on display. They have specialty pizza(bbq chicken, buffalo chicken), pepperoni, and the traditional cheese(thin crust or thick sicilian square). They offer pizza slice specials(with can of soda): 2 cheese slices($ 3.70 plus tax), 2 one topping slices($ 4.25 plus tax) and 2 specialty slices($ 4.95 plus tax). Since I already had an iced coffee in the car, I order a slice of cheese pizza($ 1.50 plus tax) which was quickly heated in the conventional oven near the counter. Another customer comes in and says: «You from New Hampshire! Live free or die! I love it!» Wow! I do live in a great state compared to most states, with one of the lowest tax burdens, cheap liquor, and no sales tax. I had to compliment back and go: «New York has better pizza than New Hampshire!»(I should have mentioned that New York also has plenty of Yuengling Lager.) The owner smiles widely and the customer says: «Great reason for a long road trip!» Anyways, Murray’s Pizza has a good thin crust. It’s tasty, crispy on the outside, soft inside and very firm. The sauce has a slight salty taste with the right amount of browned cheese on top. The other pizzas I saw had the right amount of toppings, not too little and not too much. I actually enjoyed the slice while crawling along in heavy traffic. MENU&HOURS(pdf): NOTE: Credit card purchases $ 5 and under subject to 50 cent surcharge. Closed Mondays

Food’s good, hours a little brief. Still can’t find great NY pizza in Delmar, but Murray’s is probably the best in town
