Just finished celebrating a friend’s 70 birthday at Angelo’s…it was perfect! The menu was specific for the party and the Guest of Honor’s name was on top of the menu; a nice surprise. Four selections for the main dish, salad, soup, beverage choices and gelato for dessert(home made at the restaurant). Our waiter was excellent and made sure every party guest was comfortable. The price was very reasonable compared to other restaurants we checked out. Definitely have your next party there!!! Arlene T.

The food and service here is some of the best I have ever seen. Our server was friendly and got our food out in ten minutes. The chicken parmesan was perfect and fresh. Great restaurant!

We have dined here on many occasions, always great in our opinion, hence we always come back. Last weekend, we took friends from NY to have dinner. Reservation was promptly adhered to, drink order quickly came, the waiter took our dinner order in a reasonable time, the food was presented also in a reasonable period of time, and then… Our first course was grand, with dishes such as Meatballs, Chopped Antipasto, etc. All delicious. The entrees were served(I ordered a special of Scallops) while everyone else had their own thing. Looking at the scallop dish at 18.00 I saw two(2) scallops??? I called the waiter to discuss, who in turn called over the hostess who we have always had a nice experience with. I told her that I felt 2 scallops at 18.00 was A… too high priced, and B, not enough scallops. Her response was that the dish listed on the Specials for the evening stated it was an appetizer and not an entrée. If it was, it was not represented properly on the menu. She then asked if I wished something else? No was my reply. I became grouchy. The waiter came over shortly and agreed with me and then told me she took the price of this dish off the bill. Very nice, «yet all she had to do upon the first complaint was to add a scallop or two». I would have been thrilled! I am sure she thinks she did the right thing but i cannot agree. I was unhappy, and at that moment, she should have made this all go away and she didn’t. By the way, 2 scallops at 18.00 is a bit much. They were delicious(the 2 of them) yet a good time was not had by all… I am really sorry to write this yet I dine out all of the time, and I adore this restaurant. Hopefully this won’t happen again.

I had one of the best experiences here. I’m a major foodie and originally from the northeast. Being Italian I’m very picky about a lot of the Italian food I eat. I heard about this place from a coworker and decided to give it a try. They have a great happy hour until 7pm during the week. Buy one get one per person. Great deal! When I say that, that’s on ANYTHING! Only at the bar and pizza bar though which is understandable. They have a few food items on the happy hour menu too which are all a great deal. I got a caprese salad that had a basil pesto on top. Great portion for the price! As an entrée I got the frutti di mare although I did change the pasta choice. It normally comes with spaghetti but I asked to get it with angel hair and it was amazing! My server’s name was Jessica and she was great but every staff member I encountered was very nice and polite. I asked for cheese from one and crushed red pepper from another. They helped out without hesitation. After being in the Boca area for about a year, I notice that as long as you are nice to the people working they have no problem getting you anything you need. After seeing other reviews, I find too many times that the people in this area are rude and entitled. Those reviews don’t mean much to me. The chef even came out to see if I liked the meal. It pays to be nice!!! For dessert I had a cannoli. I’m super picky about them being from New Jersey. Let me tell you, one of the best I’ve had in a long time. After living in Los Angeles for 11 years with restaurants telling me they had good cannoli, I almost lost faith. Very very good! The person I was with had the tiramisu(which again I’m very picky about), and it was great! It wasn’t crazy sweet like most! I will definitely be back here. Big props to the management and team there! I’ll definitely be telling people about this place.

This place was sooooo delicious! Service was great and fast. I went there on a Thursday late afternoon/early evening with about 9 other people from my job and it was spectacular. We sat outside and the atmosphere was lovely and our server was so friendly and attentive and made sure we were taken care of. His name was Julio and he was so nice! We ordered one of every single tapas they have on the menu and it was all so delicous not a complaint. The eggplant frittatta was great and so was the beef carpaccio with the trufle oil. I will definitely be coming back here soon!

One of the Italian restaurants with the best food I’ve visited, unfortunately the service is far from being poor. The bad service start from the door. the host does not acknowledge the people who arrives… she was very busy arranging the 5 tables with people on the entire restaurant. 15 minutes for the waitress to come and offer drinks, and her dislike for kids could not be more obvious, sorry is mothers day!!!, We order and 30 minuted later when we ask if she got the appetizer order she answer that she was waiting for the main course to be ready Incredible bad experience in the middle of an extraordinary food. I will definitely come back hopping it was just bad luck with the personnel. 5 stars for the food 0 stars for the service… this never happens

We came to D’Angelos on a Saturday evening. After waiting an extended amount of time for the waitress to show up and offer drinks we had to send back 3⁄6 of the tapas. The lobster bisque was inedible, the salmon came back completely uncooked, gnocchi was drowned in a horrific cream sauce, the salad was wilted and chicken over cooked. There was not a single entrée that was edible. It was an insulting experience and the manager offered nothing beyond shock and argument. As I write this the management is arguing and fighting with us. It was a disaster of a meal, if you value your stomach and your money go anywhere else. McDonald’s will be better. At least there your order may be edible. I promise.

Tired of coming in here and the revolving door of waiters who don’t know their menu and specials or care. Two frittatas and he orders the wrong one, or the kitchen messed up, but since one is egg white, unless he’s color blind, he shouldn’t bring it out when he sees its not what he ordered. Instead he brings it out hoping I’ll eat it. When I send it back, and I ask to have it taken off the bill because another one will take 10 more minutes and everyone will be done, he comes out with the replacement! What part of LISTENING to the customer do you miss. Managers two-step through the revolving door here too. This place was great when it opened but it’s on the downhill slide to being yet another fail in this location.

Outdoor area is beautiful — high Ceilings, and has a light and airy feel. Where as Inside is sleek and chic. If you want a good table either inside or outside, make a reservation. My pasta frutti De mare was amazing. They offer Italian food tapas style which is great for people who like trying a little bit of everything or sharing dishes. Great wine. Great service. For this area of Florida, refreshing because it’s a good mix of ages«scene» wise. Good place to dress up and go to dinner with your family or friends locally! Prices were very reasonable.

We were celebrating three birthdays, 56 women. We had three entrees to choose from, with soup or salad & tiramisu for desert. Meals that were supposed to b hot & all others perfect. The food fresh and tasty with vegetables that were scrumptious. The service was excellent, very accommodating with all those women, not an easy task. Loved the outside room it was like being in a garden. Thank you John and your great staff.

The food was excellent as was the service. We were a large group with children and the restaurant accommodated us happily. We will definitely go back and recommend Di Angelo’s to our friends.

Let me start off by saying this isnt a Tapas style restaurant– its Italian. But the food décor & service was great. The indoor patio seating was very loud — you may want to request inside restaurant seating but the wait would be much longer so we decided some noise wouldnt deter us. Great selection of Gelattos & Desserts too.

Used to visit this location when it was something else. Nice change. Restaurant is always crowded. Nice vibe. Have yet to eat there but has a nice bar to have a drink. Ask for Julie. She rocks!

We went for the first time and had a very good experience. Our reservation was honored on time. We sat at a comfortable table on the enclosed patio. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We told her we wanted to be out by a certain time and she made sure it happened. All the food was well prepared and tasty. I had a branzino special that was excellent. My friend had the veal Milanese and loved it. The salads and eggplant were also delicious. My only criticism was that the bread in the basket was not fresh. This surprised me. The restaurant was full but comfortable. The free valet parking is a nice convenience. I will definitely go back.

With a 6:15 reservation we were told we could NOT sit indoors — even though there were 6 empty tables at the time of our reservation. We were told by the GM sorry but you made your reservation a few days ago? huh? So we sat at the bar instead — Is that how they determine who sits where? By when the reservation was made? Really? Ordered a salmon medium — sent back 2 x and then it STILL came out med rare? A table sat empty the ENTIRE time we were at the bar — if my salmon would have been prepared correctly the first time — we would have been In and out — but no, we were told by TWO managers that the table assignments were made two days ago– and they couldn’t be changed? Huh? Where are we? Clearly NOT in the hospitality industry! Bad news — and bad management !

We met for lunch here instead of our regular place. We were sat outside in enclosed area, quite lovely. A higher end Italian fare with an attentive staff. We share a chopped kale salad and porchini mushroom pizza, both were absolutely delicious. They offered cappuccino that turned out to be Lavazza my favorite from Italy. Great place to lunch without being pretentious.

The key factors to excellent Italian food are: 1. Freshness of all ingredients 2. Simple recipes I don’t think you can find an Italian restaurant in west Delray that lives by these two golden rules except Angelo’s. If you don’t love this place you are not real Italian, as it doesn’t get much better unless you are in Italy. I eat here quite often and have never been disappointed in anything — the food, the service, and the prices… always on the mark. Also offers a very nice outdoor alfresco dining room. Nice for a date or just a casual dinner with good friends. The Tapas menu offers quite a variety of tastings and can be a nice share meal with great variety.

If you want to know what it is like to eat in Italy, but don’t want the hassle and expense of flying there just for a great meal, then save yourself a lot of time and money and just visit D’Angelo and place an order for anything on the menu or special board. Yes, this place is the real deal and the food, service, and ambiance are authentic. They even have«Tastes of Italy» playing on a continuous loop on the flat screes around the restaurant. The bar and drinks are awesome, the décor is stunning, the service is always top notch, some of the employees actually speak Italian, the outside dining options are really pleasant when the weather is nice, the chairs are comfortable, the menu is tapas style and there are tons of options. I have been here about five times and have tried many of the items and am always pleased. The Veal & Pecorino Meatballs tomato braised are super moist and are super tasty(much better than the Meatball Room down the street). The Calamari and Shrimp are fresh and tasty. The Pizza is fantastic made in the wood fire oven and I have tried several varieties such as the shrimp, pepperoni, and cheese and they are all extremely good. The Panni sandwiches are really good for lunch and with the fries, make for a filling meal. The lasagna is excellent, the spagetti and meatballs are outstanding, and I am forgetting about the specials that change often, and I would reccomend checking them out. *** Make sure to save room for Desert *** Specifically make sure your try the gelato as the quality and taste is nothing short of pure Italy in a cup, in fact the gelato is so good, that I have come here just for desert after eating at another restaurant. Ciao!
