AVOIDATALLCOSTS. PLEASEGOANYWHEREELSE, THEYWILLOVERCHARGE, THEYWILLMISDIAGNOSE, THEYWILLFIND A TEMPORARYFIXJUSTTOGETYOUTOPAYTHEJACKEDUPRATES. UPDATE– they offered a free battery replacement after giving me hell and me responding likewise, however I never needed a new battery. just a new charger, which is really easy to see if you boot in diagnostic mode(idk why I didn’t think to sooner) and seems like the first thing a tech would do in diagnosing your computer. I waited 2 weeks and basically wasn’t working because of this company’s utter incompetence. yet to decide what steps to take from here, both legally and financially. Responding to Dolla D.: computers have more than one screw in them, believe it or not… I went in with two stripped screws and left with eight. After my final encounter I couldn’t even tell you how many are stripped because the majority are literally missing. It’s a miracle I can even write this right now. Well, these people«brought my computer back to life» while failing to notice the most pivotal– and expensive — issue. They took 6 hours to open it up initially because«the screws were stripped»(methinks they may have been responsible for that, but can’t say for sure) then basically just used some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip to clean out the inside from a liquid spill. About 12 hours after dropping it off and $ 300 later– mind you, a price that increased just before going to get it– I pick it up. It’s on and working, I take it home. When I left my house to bring it in initially, the laptop wouldn’t turn on, but the light on the charger indicated that it would charge. A few hours after bringing it home, I realize that the light is not on and it is no longer charging, just running off the power adapter. I call the next day, they say to bring it back in. I take it back, there’s a sign on the door they’ll return in 30 minutes. 3 hours later, no sign of them and no communication unless initiated by me. After a thorough reaming out I’m told they’ll be back soon(heard that line before). Soon passes, I have another appointment approaching, and I leave. 30 mins before my other appointment I get a call asking where I am and to bring it in. I race there, drop it off, they keep it over night only to tell me today j need a new battery– a battery which worked when I dropped it off. The battery replacement is costly and puts me wayyy over the threshold of repair/replace. I’m told by the technician that mac batteries don’t cost much– just get one on eBay… I intend to ask for a full refund. Do not use this company– they’re unreliable, uncommunicative, can’t stick to their own business hours, and break rather than fix.
