had a severe problem w/ants. their techs were here less than 5 min & found their nest & destroyed them. they then sprayed my entire condo. I was so impress by their good work that I bought a yearly service contact from them where as they come here once monthly $ 250 year, that equals to $ 25 month, plus 2 months free. average $ 20,83 per month. I live in a building w/48 other units, so you never know how clean other people are. work is guaranteed for up to 30 days. wish my last exterminator was this good.

We have been using Hometown Pest Control for years now. We have a fairly new home and really have never required a whole lot of pest control service but we have always maintained our service just to make sure we keep the bugs out. They also provide an inside spray which we have barely ever used, we are pretty easy going homeowners. We do travel a lot & we found out almost 3 months ago that we ended up bringing a bed bug home with us. Once we realized we had bed bugs we immediately called HPC. They serviced us very quickly maybe because they wanted to get their $ 1000 as quick as possible. Being that is was a bit pricy we wanted to make 3 payments which of course was a problem. We have been with them for years and always paid on time but they can’t cut us any slack for being a loyal customer. The bed bug treatment is a 3 month process. The problem I started having is that every time we had an appointment throughout the entire process I was always last on the list on top of that they were always late too. Our very first bed bug spray appointment they actually tried canceling because the technician took the day off. Yes after many tears they were able to send a technician which ended up being very late in the day so we ended up staying at a hotel because the smell was pretty bad. Then we had to do our follow up appointments thereafter. I do work & have to take time off work for their 2 hour window plus extra time for their lateness & to actually be serviced. Every time I have asked them for a weekend appointment or during the week from 10 – 12 of course that is not available. I would always have to call to see where they were & when they would actually be coming which is very unprofessional. One time they came by & I didn’t hear them knock so they left a note. They said that they left a voicemail which was a lie no one ever called me. I have spent lots of time arguing with Daniel the manager who does not care at all he is very insensitive. I had no messages from them plus they were suppose to call 30 mins ahead of time to let me know when they would be here which never happened. It seems like no one really knows what’s going on everyone has their own story. After being very upset about my past appointments the receptionist Ellen said that for our next appointment she would put in a request in so that they could come as close to 12pm but would give me a 30 minute call in advance. At 11:50am no call so of course I call in Ellen checks with the technician & he says he will be there before 2pm. What happened to being serviced close to 12pm. They tell you what you want to hear. The receptionist informed me that Daniel makes the routes so even though my request was put in & given all the problems I have had of course I am still last on the list plus the technician was late another 25 mins. On top of that when I got home later on after they sprayed I noticed my internet & phone lines were down they were working before they arrived. After speaking to Comcast the only thing that made sense is that they sprayed our box which was on the floor & it zapped out. Great it’s Friday, now we have to wait until Tuesday to have a phone line & internet. My husband & I both work from home on the weekends so now we are losing business due to our internet being down thanks to HPC. This has become a nightmare & instead of them making you feel better throughout the whole process it’s much worse lots of added unnecessary stress but does anyone care not at all. I have lots of customers who need pest control services among other things & would never refer HPC to any of them after my experience.

This company is a ripoff. They really ought to be reported to the better business bureau. They quote you a standard price on the phone based on the size of your space– $ 49.95 in my case. Then when they get there and walk around, they try to scare you by saying things someone without knowledge of their industry could understand/see, and suddenly a $ 50 service becomes a $ 495 service. After balking at the price, they ask a couple questions about your space, say they weren’t aware of that, and knock $ 100 off. Better option– buy the chemicals yourself and do it yourself. Google can tell you how, and it’ll cost a fraction of what they would charge you. I’m baffled that they are even still in business
