Love this place! I’ve been twice. First I bought a gift for my uncle– the staff is friendly and offers samples of all the popcorn. This time I went and bought a bag of the white chocolate Oreo and dark chocolate sea salt. Very fresh and high quality. As far as price, very reasonable. I paid about $ 7 for a small bag which is around 2 cups of popcorn that was covered in chocolate, and was more expensive than the other flavors such as cheddar.

As we were walking down Atlantic Avenue, this nice girl was sampling small cups of popcorn on the corner of Atlantic Ave. and NE5h Ave., and in all the years coming to Delray Beach never saw anyone ever sample popcorn. Actually a lot of new things opened up on Atlantic Ave. since I had been there last including this cute, great smelling colorful store on the side of Atlantic Ave. on NE5h Avenue, The Original Popcorn House. We would of never known about it if we had not sampled a couple flavors of popcorn on the corner and ask where this came from. We had to check this out. It is only situated a couple stores down the street on the west side of NE5th Ave. Two guys from Chicago took the idea from a very popular«popcorn landmark» in Chicago called Garretts and brought the same idea to Delray Beach, the perfect South Florida downtown area to put this concept in. You walk up the front entrance of an old house with a white fence guiding you up to the front door. When you walk in you can smell and see so many flavored popcorn bins, all glass separated by flavor. These owners from Chicago were both there and greeted us and were really friendly, which of course had nothing to do with my son wearing a Chicago Bears cap which they warmly commented on. This is not a big store, and as you go up to the counter you can see all the bins of different flavored popcorn, from Cheddar Cheese to Pancake and Bacon, Kettle Corn, Movie Popcorn, and on and on. Behind the counter you can see all the varieties on this big chalk board; Gourmet Classic, Special Flavors and anything different they«pop» for that day. They serve you the popcorn in brown sealed bags in 4 different sizes, small, medium, large and jumbo. It is a popcorn lovers paradise. They also have a large variety of College and Professional Sport Gift buckets they sell for $ 15.00 made out of plastic with sealed tops and can fill them up with $ 25.00 worth of popcorn. They sell fast especially if you are a Florida Gator or Seminole fan. They can hardly keep them in stock. We were able to get the last Gator popcorn bucket they had. They also sell different varieties of taffy displayed in large jars a long with the popcorn buckets. The sports buckets make a great gift for friends who you know are avid fans of these teams, and there are teams from all over the country, both college and professional. On the side of the store they have a small display of costume jewelry from local artists, which I did not get the tie in, but they probably sell as impulse with the regular traffic that comes in. This is a perfect store for popcorn lovers and gifts for popcorn lovers. The are working on supplying their popcorn to some of the IPic theatres including the new Miami location. These 2 great Chicago Popcorn guys are the real deal.

Wow. This place has some seriously badass popcorn. We stopped in on our day off to give it a shot and were surprised with just how good the popcorn is. There are several different flavors available from a few different types i.e. cheese flavored, fruit flavored, etc. We tried and sampled sevaral different kinds, all really good but settled on Cucumber Lime. Again, Wow. That bag of popcorn was lucky if it survived for 10mins after we got into it. Seriously good specialty popcorn. Packaging has several different options including bags as well as collectable tins. Definitely a must visit for popcorn lovers, as well as a great gift idea spot.

The popcorn is tasty(honey Sriracha — holy wow), and the staff is nice. Plenty of flavors to choose from. Two negatives about this place — parking and construction(can’t blame them for this, but just sayin’) and the prices sure aren’t cheap. I’ve had just as good, if not better popcorn when I lived in Austin that cost about half as much. Still, not knocking the popcorn — it is damn tasty. If you are wondering about the price: They have three«tiers» of pricing — depending on the flavor(savory being the least expensive, then the candied like maple, etc, followed by the deserty and fancy schmancy ones being the most expensive). I paid $ 6.99 for a small bag of honey Sriracha. The white chocolate Oreo flavor was pretty tasty(I sampled), but I wasn’t about to spend $ 14 bucks or so for a small bag. I can’t say this would be a regular place for me, but I could definitely see taking my parents there when they come to visit(dad is a big popcorn fan).
