Excellent food and service. A+++ The best chile rellenos… not greasy and the best green sauce

On our way through town and was looking for some authentic Mexican. This place did not disappoint!!! Excellent food and service. Not to much at from the outside but you will be blown away by everything else. Will go back in a heartbeat!

Stopped in for lunch on a weekend trip and for breakfast on the way home. Both meals were excellent — some of the best Mexican food we’ve had since moving to the area. Breakfast gorditas were amazing. Highly recommend stopping if you’re passing through. Good food and portion size at a great price.

Excellent Food — server was on the phone instead of checking for coffee refills but the other server noticed and came with the coffee. So Highly recommend.

this is my go to place when driving thru Deming. Love the food and the service. Seems like many locals eat here. Bottom line: Haven’t had a bad meal here yet. Love the #2 combo plate.

Big portions and delicious! Seems like a local family-run restaurant. Very friendly and clean(including bathrooms!). Great stop for lunch when traveling through Deming.

A very fine breakfast of huevos rancheros. I will return. Prices were reasonable, service was good. Many families filled the restaurant.

I prefer a local place anytime, supporting small businesses as opposed to a Denny’s etc. This was a nice quaint as we used say“Whole in the wall,” dinner. Looks like all the local come here for some good food. I chorizo and huevos and was exactly what I expected. The chorizo tasted like home made chorizo not that store bought chorizo. Or at least chorizo purchased from a butcher. I loved the home made chips and salsa. The salsa was spicy how I like it. When I usually go a Mexican restaurant I usually have to ask for what they have in the back. Not this time. I probably would have give 5 stars if the bathroom was handicap accessible but it wasn’t.

Fantastic red chili cheese enchiladas and beans. Great service and nice Mexican music in the background. Five stars in my opinion. I’m just passing through but will plan to return on my way back to Phoenix.

I was stationed in Virginia for 3 years. I am Mexican and I come from California. On my way back I was craving some authentic Mexican food. I looked at the reviews on this place and seemed legit. I was quickly disappointed. If you want authentic Mexican food DONOT come here. This is a sorry attempt on Mexican food. If this is really«New Mexicos finest«then I feel bad for the state of New Mexico.

Just left this restaurant. We’re on a road trip and relying on Unilocal for food and hotels. So far this is probably the best Mexican food we’ve had like ever. Small and quaint, very cute, everyone seems to know everyone. Thumbs up and we’ll be back on the way home :)

Always yummy food and decent service :) The food is always good but the service is a gamble. This is a good lunch spot!

Loved the free chips, but the salsa wasn’t THAT special. But then, I’m from Tucson and have a pretty high standard. :) The breakfast was good, and served quickly — even tho they were busy. We’ll be back!

Back for a second time, had to stop by for breakfast on the way through. Just as good as the first time really enjoy setting and the food. If you’re on the I 10 you need to stop in.

Everyone here is so happy to be here and so talented with the customers. They’re intuitive with children’s needs, too, which is always helpful. The horchata was perfectly sweet, and their savory sopaipillas were a new flavor sensation for me. Their green chiles are no joke, so make sure you can handle a little spice. I also like how the chilaquiles can be ordered with either red or green salsa; they were fresh and even creamy! My only criticism is that their table salsa needs less heat and more chunks of ingredients. Other than that, go there! :)

Swung by on our way from Michigan to Tucson. The chips were homemade from real tortillas. The salsa was fresh, flavorful and had a good amount of heat. My wife had the chicken chimichanga and thought it was savory, the right level of crisp and just the right size. All I can say is that she couldn’t stop saying mmmmmmm. I had the Carne Asada Burrito plate which had nice chunks of steak, a generous portion of beans and the rice was really good. If this had been all I would have been very happy, but my kids(heaven knows how this happened) would rather eat cheeseburgers over Chimichangas any day of the week and so I usually get good Mexican and they get burger pucks. Not this time My one daughter had Hotcakes and bacon(stop rolling your eyes) and they were great! Three thick strips of bacon with crisp pancakes that were spongey and steamy inside. My son, who besides his myopic taste, is a connoisseur of cheeseburgers who only recently allowed that pickles might enhance the taste of grilled beef with melted cheddar. He gave there burger and fries a 83 out of 100, which he raised to an 84 when he remembered it was a Mexican restaurant. He still measures everything against Westside Pier in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. It will be a long time before anything gets close. My last daughter had a club sandwich. That was average, even a little below but it was a club sandwich. On the other hand the fries were great! Next time you are passing through Demming, treat yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

GOTOTHISRESTAURANT! I don’t usually go crazy over Mexican, but this place is outstanding. Everything is fresh and homemade. The service was pleasant. The atmosphere is quaint and local. I have gotten fish tacos from all across the country and these are by far the best. Get the fish tacos; they might change your life. Chimichangas are also to die for. Lightly fried, homemade tortilla, with good quality lean lightly seasoned beef. Also, to top it off, spring for the flan dessert. Fabulous and homemade as well, not overly sweet like many commercial flans. Two amazing and noteworthy meals and a dessert for $ 20. You can’t beat it. DOIT!

Had lunch here April, 2015 when passing through Deming. Excellent food, service and prices. Great chips and salsa. Both meals that we had were delicious, gordita plate and chimichanga plate. Getting hungry for it just writing about it. We’ve been travelling through southern TX&NM, been to Mexico twice in these travels and we agreed that this was the best food we’ve had.
