Had the ribs and the polish sausages combo. Ribs had no flavor at all think their boil their ribs. Their just give a side of bbq sauces and that was nothing to brag about. The polish just tasted funny. Side dishes was pretty good but that all.

This isn’t real BBQ. No smoker on site. I believe it’s all pre-packaged stuff. Ordered everything«BBQ» on the menu and it was horrible. «Pulled chicken» sandwich was like mush. Won’t be back. Service was ok.

The staff was very nice, the owner(I think) even came over to ask how everything was. The food was good, we had the beef brisket sandwich. The sandwich could have used a little more meat. Fries and coleslaw were good. Overall a nice restaurant, I would go there again and try something else.

Oh Unilocalers — you led us astray on this one! On a recent trip from Milwaukee to Indianapolis, we were looking for a place for lunch so chose Jordy’s n Jax based on proximity and the Unilocal reviews. The food was… OK. Our table tried chili, pulled pork sandwiches and brisket sandwiches. Here’s the thing: This. Lunch. Took. Forever. And, when you look at what we ordered, all of this should have been pre-made. Were you still whipping-up the chili at 12:30 pm? I hope not! I’d think you could just scoop it out of a pot into a bowl! Same of the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Pulled pork was better than the brisket. Brisket was dry and overcooked. Just a note. Very gross ladies’ bathroom. The toilet was so ridiculously caulked to the floor I nearly took a picture. There is no way, that it’s ever truly clean.

A lucky find. Had the fried pickles and brisket sliders for a late afternoon lunch. Both were delicious.

Today makes the 2nd time we have eaten here. The food is really excellent! It’s a little off the beaten path but worth the trip. One of the best places to eat in the DeMotte/Wheatfield/Roselawn area. I can say we have tried most, if not all area restaurants, and this place is worth the money. I always like it when the owner comes out to ask how your meal was, showing real concern on the quality of his meals. Highly recommended!

Cute decorated little place and great friendly service. My husband and I got the perch although it was pricey it was GOOD. I understand fish is expensive and they did do a good job with the perch. That being said certain touches this newer restaurant could do to earn the high price. 1) loose the wood plates. Wood is not easily cleanable. Wood can hold bacteria. As a person that holds a Public Health in Food Sanitation(State of Illinois).2)The Caesar salad was tasty but drowned in dressing and Caesar salad should be made with Romaine lettuce not iceberg. 3) The green beans were over cooked til mushy. Our friend ordered Fish n Chips and they had to be returned to the kitchen. They were inedible. There was a bitter taste and the inside was wet, not flaky. Our mistake was ordering fish at a BBQ place. The perch was delicious. We had the onion bale too and it was good but the sauce was icky. Tasted like mayo and ketchup not a very good southwest sauce.
