Bought a fridge and washer dryer and they all work great !

Evelyn and her family own this small business and work hard at it. I was very impressed with them and the selection of appliances. I chose a Kenmore Refrigerator and plan to go back for a washer/​dryer set in the near future. I love the fridge-​a way better designed model than some of the more expensive ones. I appreciate the time and friendliness she showed me and she took time to explain the whole process if something goes wrong, the warranty, etc. I know when we buy anything, then anything can go wrong. What matters in the end, is how it’s taken care of-​I can see the A & R owners are really trying to make their business better all the time and I believe they will continue to have success at it.

Moved here from out of state. We bought a washer/​dryer set and refridgerator. Very friendly customer service, made us feel welcome. Appliances were clean and all work well. Would recommend as well as be a repeat customer.

My first purchase with a and r was a fridge about 1.5 years ago. It’s still running great! Never a problem. The second purchase was a washing machine and gas dryer about 4 months ago. The washer started having trouble almost immediately. I called a and r and the handyman came out that week. He ordered the part and came back the next week and it was fixed. Been running great since and no charge since I live in Turlock! I recommend you read their fine print– they provide a 90 day free warranty if you live in denair or Turlock. I see a lot of complaints from people outside that area, who were charged for the handyman to come out. It clearly states that on the order form when you purchase your appliance. I would def buy from them again!

I had a refrigerator that I needed to get rid of… I spoke with the owner and they took it out of my hands!!! I am so grateful and thankful they have this convenient service… I will ALWAYS, be a loyal customer!!! :)

Satisfied every time we need anything from them. If and when something is with in the warranty time they are out there to fix it or at least see what the Issue was and then tell me when to expect him to be out and fix it. Wonderful customer service and friendly atmosphere. They understand the importance of having a working Fridge and Washer and Dryer with my larger family of 6. I will and have recommend this company to others!

Horrible customer service, very unprofessional. I bought a Kenmore washer and dryer set here 2 mos ago. After a few weeks I started noticing a small leak coming from the bottom of my washer but I was not too concerned at that point, however over the past few days my floor has flooded each time I run my washer. After calling to request someone to come check it out (being I still am 1 month within my warranty) I was told to read my paperwork, I will be charged an extra $ 40 service fee. When I asked why, since I am still under their (100% warranty) I was told I was outside of their covered area. So I did my research and I am actually only 3 miles outside of their «covered area» I find this ridiculous being that I spent my time, gas, and money to take my business to them in Denair, and when they are not able to back up their claim that they sell reliable appliances, they are not willing to come to Newman to please their customer because it is of inconvenience to them. Lesson Learned!

Do not waste your time or money here! Ridiculously rude employees that yell at you. Also they won’t come out to fix your stuff when you say it’s broken. I bought a fridge here and it broke within six months. I had to fight to get someone to my house just to look at it. Then they wanted to charge me the cost of a new fridge just to fix it. Stay away from this place!

I am a repeat customer! I needed a washer and dryer ASAP today and went to their store, they had a ton of great clean used washer and dryers! I feel like I got a great deal and they delivered them same day! The owner is very knowledgeable and only refurbishes quality machines. He delivered them, set them up and tested them prior to leaving to ensure all was working well! His wife was very friendly and helpful in picking out my set! Would recommend and send anyone looking for appliances their way!

I bought a washer and dryer from this store in Denair and initially I was pleased. I thought the price they quoted me was good and we even bought a refrigerator too from them. All was well for 4 months then all of a sudden the lid switch on the washer goes out. I call A and R and they tell me that it’s past the 90 days of warranty but someone will come out an take care of it for $ 50. The guy who was sent out here told me that he’d REPLACE the switch and he left to get the replacement. 45 minutes later he returns and tells me it’s replaced. All I owe is $ 50. Great. So this past week the lid switch breaks once again so I call A an R. Another $ 50… Then I decide to look for myself. The switch hasn’t been replaced, it has been zip tied!!! Plus the wires aren’t properly secured — they only have electrical tape around them. Awesome. So I call A and R again and they try to tell me that I’m mistaken an I’m SOL. Umm WTH. I loved the idea that we bought and supported a mom and pop shop but now I’m regretting it.

I needed a fridge and dryer for a reasonable price and decent quality and ofcourse it had to be delivered quick, the following day. They had free delivery and setup and a warranty as well. For the price I truly could not beat everything that was included. Thank you for standing up to your name!

Have purchased stoves and refrigerators for rentals and my personal use. They have great items are wonderful prices. Free delivery, set up and haul off. They are a pleasure to work with. Amazing values there and will be returning for washer/​dryer set soon. Have NEVER had any problems with any appliances I have purchased from A & R Appliance. I can’t say that for all the new appliances purchased from Big Box places. ALL my appliance purchases will be from A & R Appliance from now on. Why waste money on new when A & R refurbishes and guarantee their products!

When I moved to Merced in February 2012 I bought A Washer dryer and fridge from these guys. It cost 964.22 for all three and that included delivery and set up. Fast forward to April 2013 and they are all still going strong without a problem in sight! Thanks guys, you saved me $$ and headache. This is the place for a deal and great service!

I needed a washer/​dryer in a hurry and did not want to pay a fortune. Their rates were reasonable, they offer a warranty, and the whole buying experience was fast and efficient. I will go there again.

My washing machine recently broke and I needed another one, but I couldn’t afford a new one. I found A & R Appliance on Craigslist and drove all the way from Modesto to Denair and I was so impressed with their selection and friendly service. I got a really nice washer for under $ 200, they delivered it, set it up, and took away my broken one all for no additional charge! I’ve had it now for about a month and so far it works great. I will absolutly go to them again if I need another appliance. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

My household is a repeat client.
When we moved to Modesto I was in need of a washer & dryer but couldn’t afford a new set. I checked out Craigslist and found all of the unfriendly people who wouldn’t deliver, even for an extra $ 20.
I found their location through Craigslist and got a great set for $ 150. The delivery from Denair to Modesto was free and they even set them up for me! To this day both W & D work perfectly, I never had to use the 90 day warranty.
Today we went down for a spare Fridge and we found exactly what we wanted for $ 350, free delivery as well. I recommend this store to anyone who wants affordable and reliable appliances while supporting the local community.
