Went with a wedding party of 40. We reserved the special room in the back. We had good food and service. all the food was good but the the steak was really tasty and tender. Prices were reasonable and atmosphere was a family setting. Hard to beat everything.

We went with our church family as a large group. They wasted no time pushing tables together to accommodate us. In less than 5 minutes, we were seated and ordering drinks. We enjoyed our visit here. All the food was good and came out quicker than I had expected. The waiter we had was quite efficient and friendly. He was quite knowledgeable about the different foods and specials, and gave us recommendations. Have no problems going back the next time we go out.

A nice, quiet family restaurant. We ordered the steak but had to send it back bc it was undercooked, better that than over cooked I guess. The chips are fresh and the salsa is made daily. Our waitress was nice and attentive but went MIA when we needed to put in a to go order and get the check

Delicious food left everyone happy. Stuffed baked potato, steak and shrimp, fried shrimp and crawfish salad satiated all appetites. Décor is fair, with tables only(no booths available). Birthday diner got a free cheesecake for dessert.

I came here with my family last time I was in town. Quick, friendly service. Our waitress was amazing, especially with our grumpy 5 month old who was done after a long day of traveling. She recommended the fried potato balls and they were delicious. Seriously still craving them months later. We all loved the entrees and dessert we ordered. We’re stoked to eat here on our next visit.

Went here for the first time last night and it was good! Had the crab cakes with shrimp and a cream sauce. And husband and daughters steaks were cooked as ordered, just need more seasoning! Will eat here again!

I came here for my birthday & was severely dissapointed. My wife had called the day ahead & they told her that they sing & present an item for the birthday guest; however when we got there its apparently only a weekend thing. The atmosphere is strange w/fake plants around & drabby looking. It took forever to bring utensils out for my litle one, I ordered an 8oz. steak & recieved a butterknife so being flexible I went ahead & used it(did request a steak knife. eventually arrived). My wife was very distraught, primarily at the owner(Jewish lady) who could use a school in hospitatity/customer service. She abruptly came to my wife from behind and did not give much time for my wife to even talk about the crawfish eggplant topped w/etoufee plate she returned. No sorry, no sympthaty, nothing. The crawfish/eggplant dish had a pungent rancid taste & the sweet potato was brown & seemed several months old. They forgot to bring her wine out, never did come. The attitude of this lady(owner) is despicable & rude. on a ‘kids eat free’ night they ended up charging my litle one b/c my wife returned her entrée & charged my wife for her salad(which I would not get either. unless you like white roughage). It was a terrible night that we would like to forget, my wife lost her apetite & just wanted to leave… they have no concern for the customers & beware of the owner from hell. I would go to the Lagniappe on Perkins(not associated to this establishment at all). This was the biggest dissapointment this town has to offer. It was too cold inside so we sat outside listening to the cars flying by, lacking in many ways. *Would not go here for a birthday, would not go here if you paid me, would not go here period!

Ate here with friends recently. The menu is strange — mexican, italian, and cajun-ish. We had cajun-ish. The stews were almost tasteless(gumbo, ettouffe). The fried items were ok. The fried potato balls were good.

Staff is good. Atmosphere is good. Food is not. All the food here tastes like the owner’s have decided to put their own spin on everything. According to my wife, the crawfish etoufee is not even tourist good. The caeser dressing tasted more like 1000 Island. Not a significant difference in taste between marinara and the salsa. However, it is the only deceent place this far north of town.

Went to Lagniappe with the in-laws last time I was in Denham Springs. It’s basically way up Range. That’s about all I can say about where it is. It’s in a nice new building, though. The menu is quite varied, from steak and seafood to Mexican dishes. I ordered the prime rib special. It was a nice and juicy cut of meat with a side of potatoes and a salad. Service was attentive and drink refills and other requests came quickly. The only thing I found slightly strange was that when the steaks arrive at the restaurant, they are already slightly cooked. Because of this, it’s tough to get a steak that is medium-rare. The medium-rare steak my father-in-law got was about the same color on the inside as my medium steak. So if you like raw meat, this might not be the best place for you to get a steak.
