Pilot Travel Center

This gas station /​convenience store blows. It’s like a Racetrac with much shittier management. You want to know why it blows, here’s a list for ya:
— it’s dirty
— there was one cashier with about 12 people in line
— their hot dog /​coffee station was designed by an idiot and has gotta be the most unuser friendly food station I’ve ever experienced. You can’t find anything. its a total mishmash of food, equipment, plates, condiments and other crap.
— no relish for the dogs. Only onions.
— buns are hidden below the hotdog grill with no sign or hint as to where they are.
— those little donut thingies are $ 1.79. What?
— drink prices are stupid. $ 2.39 for a Gatorade, 2 for $ 4, or 3 for $ 5. Seriously?
— as you may have surmised, there are no bargains here.
This place functions under the business model of «we will do the minimum for our customers as most are on the road and probably won’t be back so we don’t give a crap about making a pleasant buying experience for them, we just desire to extract the maximum amount of cash that we can from them while they’re here… and if we can piss them off in the process, they will probably buy more of our overpriced food and beverages.»
The only reason they don’t get one star is their hotdog was all beef and pretty good. except my GF said that the onions on hers (remember, no relish) tasted like ass.

This Pilot was pretty good for what time it was. Cheap gas, Subway (YUM), and a place to sit. Service was friendly for being 1:30 AM. Chatted with a girl @ the Subway place that was making our sandwiches.
I wanted a Pizza, but they were out. Sad face. BUT the sandwich I got instead was just as good. This was actually a really small Pilot versus some of the other ones I went to… hence the 3 star rating. But I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again.

I have been to more Pilots than I can think of and this is one of the worst. The bathrooms were extremely dirty. (I mean this compared to other truck stops) The toilet that I used was missing the cover and there were hand written instructions above the toilet on what to push inside the toilet to get it to flush. I walked up to the counter to buy my tabacco. They had 4 people standing behind the counter and only one helping people. Finally the manager decided to jump in the mix and was acting like he was really annoyed to be working. The parking in there sucks. For lack of any other options I will probably end up there again, but will not be happy about it.
