Pretend Play Party looks as though it was at one time a very bright and inviting space. This was not my experience. It was our first visit to Pretend Play Party and while my toddlers loved it, I couldn’t get past how dingy, dusty and dirty parts of it were. Since we were the first ones there and it just opened for the day, I was shocked. The dress up clothes were ripped and torn(not just a little… gapping) dolls and doll accessories were dingy, marked up and in need of care. Legos were very dirty, grit and dirt stuck between parts. Space room missing accessories… the worker told us they were«lost». In contrast the infant room and diner were very clean and in better shape. It saddens me that it seems this place doesn’t get the maintenance it needs or deserves. The children love it so much. But, it’s going to take more than a worker walking around with Clorox wipes, spot cleaning, to get this gem back to its original luster. For the sake of its customers, I sincerely hope they do.

«Wonderful area for kids creative play»! I spent many days at this place with my daughter. It is absolutely adorable! Located in a large, but not-so-busy plaza. The place is not the size of the Children’s Museum, but same concept that is beneficial because it’s harder for you to lose your child. Upon entering, you pay for the child and adults entering with the child are free. There is so much creative play under one roof here, which leaves hours of fun for your child(ren). A picnic area is provided right by the«apple and orange» trees, so bring your lunch. My favorites are the pretend kitchen, café and grocery store… just too stinkin’ cute! An art station is in the back, in addition to a party area, if you plan to have your child’s birthday party there. If you have little ones, bring them here! There is even a soft-play area for your little crawlers and soon-to-be walkers! * Creative Play * Pretend Play * Baton Rouge Birthday Parties * Kids Party Place *
