Great salsa! Perfect amount of heat with cilantro, which is always a selling point for me. I had the shrimp, my husband had chicken fajitas, and our son ate a chimichanga. All three were delicious. The guacamole was freshly made; it was scrumptious! The atmosphere was good. It turned out to be a nice Saturday night meal. Will definitely make it a regular stop.

Our favorite place. Best Carne Asada & Shrimp salad anywhere! So fresh with lots of raw veggies. Shrimp is always perfectly cooked and Carne Asada is tender and flavorful. The Texas Burrito is wonderfully delicious and feeds 3 – 4 or take leftovers for a couple of meals at home.

The tamales are very good. The salsa is watery and too heavy on the chili powder. The red sauce they put on the tamales is terrible — tastes like that old el paso canned sauce. Yuck.

The only thing I liked here was the mango margarita. Everything else was not very good. The soup tasted like hot water with vegetables, and the meat was spicy yet underseasoned.

I’ve dined here several times and have never had a less-than-stellar dish. Menu features typical Tex-Mex fare, freshly-made in-house that morning. The brisket tacos have just the right amount of kick and the hand-poured pineapple margaritas(on the rocks) are on point, as well. You’ve got a run for your money, Kent’s!

My parents rave about this little mexican restaurant so we decided to try it for lunch. To start with, their salsa is watery but pretty good! Has a good amount of heat to it! Which is what I like! ;) Both of my parent’s plates were BIG portions! Dad got the chicken fajitas & my mom got a shredded beef taco with rice & beans. My parents both give their plates a 4⁄5 star rating. Lol. Made them answer me! Anyways, I’m a vegan so of course, I figured this would be a challenge. Our waitress was helpful and I even asked if the beans had lard in them. She asked the chef and they said they are made fresh in restaurant with NO animal fat. Thankful for that! Gave me a few more options. I ordered a small side of guacamole & it was actually a good amount! And for my entrée, I got the garden burrito and made sure to reiterate that I do not want any cheese! Food came out pretty quickly with not much of a wait and I got full off of HALF of my burrito! Gave one less star because they didn’t have many more options with more veggies. Maybe they could add veggie/mushrooom fajitas! I’d definitely resturn for that! :)

Best place for GOOD Mexican food in this area. Prices are great and food is very well seasoned. I have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed in either the food or service.

Fresh delicious family owned restaurant. Had the brisket beef taco and cheese enchilada with queso and extra onions. Our waitress said, «The brisket is sliced to perfection. No gristle will ever be found on a plate.» She confessed they only had a small frig, so food was not frozen and purchased daily. The chips were crispy and tasty. The salsa had cilantro, with chunks of tomatoes, onions and jalapeño with just the right heat. The lunch specials run $ 4.99−5.99. Happy hour from 3−6pm. The dining room is non-smoking, however, smoking is permitted in the bar. Awesom homemade Tex-Mex.

Came here for lunch one day with a big group of people. I split the beef fajita plate with a friend and it came with a lot of food! The tortilla soup was warm and hardy — chunks of avocado, tomato, tortilla strips all swimming in a nice warm and spicy broth. The flour tortillas came nice and hot and the beef was well seasoned. We asked for more tortillas to share between the two of us and they kindly obliged. Their guacamole looked like it had been sitting out for a little while, but it tasted fresh. My only complaint was that it took a very long time for us to get our meal and we were late to get back to the office that day. Other than that, I enjoyed a nice meal here!

Great family owned restaurant. Very clean. Ask about their specials that aren’t on the menu. Mmmmm. Best margaritas I’ve ever had. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about Girasoles!

Service is good and food is good. Crawling distance from home if I have too many of their awesome margaritas.

Very disappointed. Flies everywhere. Even had a dead one in my margarita. Found it after drinking half(ewww). Asked for another and was charged for both! Food had no flavor. Everyone had different dishes and they all lacked seasoning. Won’t be back!

Great little neighborhood spot, and one of the best Tex-Mex spots in Grayson county. My husband would eat here every day. He LOVES the orange Margaritas, and in the summer, the Mojitos are refreshing. He always gets the queso blanco with chorizo. Carne asada salad is not bad, if I don’t get that it is usually the chicken flautas. The family/owners are super nice.

This is where we take family and friends when they come to visit! The food is amazing! When my husband took his parents there, they were informed that the salsa was fresh because«Grandma had just made it this morning.» Doesn’t get much more home-made than that! It’s great food, and yes the margarita flavors are awesome! Be careful, though, one maybe two will do the trick! There are only a few desert options, but they are really good. This is some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The staff is very friendly, and will help you with your meal selections.

The grilled chicken burrito with queso is delicious! I also suggest trying the fresh squeezed margaritas. The orange juice margarita was my favorite. The chips are fresh and super tasty. The place is either busy or slow. When it’s slow, it can be weird because the waitstaff is sometimes overbearing. All in all, the is the Mexican food I crave.

I have eaten here 3 – 4 times and enjoyed it immensely each time. We had a large group of 10 – 12 people and they handled all the orders with ease. I especially enjoy the interesting flavors of Margaritas they have! I loved the«Grapefruit» flavored Margarita! The food was excellent, because it’s a little more authentic than your standard«Tex-Mex» fare. I recommend it.

We have eaten at alot of Mexican food places, this place wasn’t fancy but very tasty. We went on $ 2 taco Tuesday. I tried the carne asada and chicken fajita taco meat very tasty. The ground beef taco was a deep fried taco and it was good too. Chips could have been better. Very affordable. Worth another try.

Meh. We tried this about a year ago. My husband liked it a lot but the waitress(Hispanic teenage girl) didn’t know what carnitas were when I asked. She had to go ask. I don’t expect you to know the language just because it’s your heritage but you should know the menu as a waitress. The food was just okay. I keep meaning to try it again but I’m not in a huge rush. Husband liked it though so. maybe worth a try.

We really enjoy Girasoles. I’m fairly certain their chips are fried on premises. The salsa is a thin version but very fresh and bright. The pico de gallo is very good, utilizing both fresh and pickled jalapenos. They have pan fried tacos with ground beef, but the shredded beef or chicken is much better. We often get just tacos for lunch. Their cheese enchiladas are different from typical Tex-Mex. The«chili gravy» has cinnamon in it, lending a more Mex– Mex flavor. You will either love it or hate it. Tasty re-frieds and good rice. Décor isn’t fancy by any means… but who cares. A family run, very pleasing spot.

I ate lunch here, I ordered the special, chili relleno. The plate came to me less than 5 minutes after ordering, The relleno was small, round and flat, like a thick pancake, breading was soft and rubbery, the taste and texture was as if it came in frozen and was re-heated in the microwave. The rice and beans were average. The waitress asked if would like red sauce or queso over the relleno, I said queso, they charged extra. The special was $ 4.99, plus the queso and tea turned out to be around $ 9.00 plus tip = $ 11 and some change. When I left I was still hungry. The waitstaff was very nice, the food wasn’t. I won’t go back.
