Mom is in I C U after surgery. The nurses and aides are really nice and helpful. — a year later: This was a hard one to finish. After surgery, mom suffered a fatal stroke. Everyone here was so nice and we even met several of mom’s neighbors before she passed. The people taking care of mom were calm, informative, caring and just really nice.

Just got home from a 3 day experience @ TMC-Denison. Wednesday, my family & I opted to take my granny to TMC vs. Paris RMC and are so very glad we did! Overall, this hospital should set the standard for all hospitals. From the very moment we arrived at the ER, the experience was superb! IMO, your first impression, your first point of contact, sets the tone of your experience. Our first contact was with Bob at the ER door! WOW what a priceless asset Bob is! He is darling; had a smile on his face, pep in his step & most importantly made my granny feel secure since she had to be transferred from car to wheelchair. With zero wait, my granny was taken by Bob to a bed in the ER after an efficient registration. From car to room, 20 minutes! Astounding!!! In the ER, we were met with warm smiles and people who obviously liked their jobs! Everybody hustled, nobody was moping around like Eeyore. Granny was seen by Dr. Hopkins & Mallory was her RN plus a few others that were administering xrays/other test. All were super STARS! Dr. Hopkins decided to admit my granny which we were so thankful he didn’t dismiss or disregard her ailments. Dr. Hopkins was engaging & convinced even me, a hard critic, he genuinely was concerned & cared about my granny’s well-being. Those are rare qualities to find in an ER doctor. After Dr Hopkins made his decision to admit, it was less than an hour and we were in her room. From this point of her stay, I had to leave & comeback the next day but she & my mom have raved about several super STARS, 5th floor… Aracely(Assist, Granny LOVED her), Jaden(RN), Dr. Joules, Michelle(RN), Angela(PT), Tyler(PT), Josh(PT), Dr. Tummala, Chesley(RN), Raven(Café), Tyler(Café), Linda Splenda(Operator, Café). This is a bustling hospital but you would NEVER know it because when my granny pressed her button, staff was right in & returned! She never wanted for a thing! We are nobodies but felt like the only ones the staff were taking care of! By request today, Chesley even sang to my granny! Angelic voice! Brought us all to tears! The staff harmoniously work together here; ie: never witnessed an RN, like I’ve witnessed at so many other hospitals, pass the buck to a CNA like they are better than or above one another. To note, this is a beautifully built, modernly furnished & super clean hospital!!! All staff members hold elevator doors for you if they are getting off & you are getting on, etc! All staff members, yes even doctors! All staff members are quick to help & engaging! The cafeteria… though more like a restaurant, has awesome food! My granny was impressed with the prompt & delicious food trays delivered up stairs! Never thought I would say that about hospital food. Btw, yummy rice crispy treats! Almost better than my mom’s! Great coffee bar! Adequate & easy parking! They even offer valet. Their gift shop is like a mini-Walmart! Cool grand player piano in the main entrance! One of a dozen cool things this hospital does is play a snippet of lullaby music over the intercom, signifying a baby has just been born! Precious! This hospital is a happy place filled with happy people! There is not one bad thing my granny, mom, or me can say about this hospital! We really did try to think of a negative, seriously. Even if it was something minor. We came up with not one! My granny was treated like Queen Bee! This evening, my granny was released & is walking on her own. Praise God! If the need arises again for any of us, we will definitely choose Texoma Medical Center & tell all of our friends why!

Beware! No communication to the patient on exit process. They release without warning, without ensuring the patient is okay, without proper medical review. Released a family member while he was still in horrible pain & unable to walk. Forced to drive into Dallas to a real hospital. Complete incompetence. Find another hospital.

This review us strictly about the Texoma Medical Professional Building. I am in the building at least once a month, often more. It is always very clean & welcoming(for a medical building). HOWEVER, the sinks in the restrooms are the NASTIEST things ever. They don’t drain properly & have been this way from the opening of the facility. It looks like a harbor for bacteria growth.

My mother was in this hospital for over a week with a very serious, life threatening illness. This is a beautiful, new, state of the art facility, but the staff is what gets this five star review. Her nurse on the six floor, Beverly, was outstanding and never showed my mom anything but kindness and professionalism. Nathion, her aide, also outstanding, always happy with a great smile while he did the grossest of duties. When she was transferred to the fifth, floor PCCU, Nicole shined, also. Everyone here always had a smile and a kind word. I can’t say enough good, even the housekeeping staff was above and beyond. I could talk about the bad food, but there are plenty of great restaurants very close. Thank you all so much for making a very unpleasant time as pleasant as humanly possible!
