We booked a family fishing expedition with Captain Wayne Bergeron on board the Janine B in early June. From the get-​go the captain and first mate Steve were cordial, welcoming and genuinely excited to have us on board. That sentiment carried through the entire trip. Unlike other fishing boats where the captain sits up in the ‘tuna tower’ away from customer interaction, both captain and first mate on the Janine B were right there conversing, offering advice, sharing knowledge and telling funny stories. Also, the captain was determined that we catch some stripers so he wasn’t timid about motoring to different locations to ‘find a school.’ We ended up catching a dozen stripers and one ‘keeper’. Overall, a great day. Good company and great memories! The cost seemed reasonable considering the experience!

I’ve been fishing with Janine B for the last four years and have loved each time. Most recently, I went on July 4th with a group of friends. We had A BLAST! We each caught a striper bass. The deckhand was awesome and even fileted the fish for us on the way back to the dock. Captain Wayne was great and kept checking to see if we were near the fish. We learned some fishing tips and got so many chances to work the rods that everyone felt like pros at the end of the trip. Can’t wait to go back next year!
